We did end up sleeping in the car in Murdo, South Dakota. I wanted to see a couple of roadside attractions. We couldn't find the first one, it was a skeleton walking a dinosaur. Then we were going to go to a 1880 town, but it was a tourist trap, so we just kept going. Mike really didn't get any sleep. I slept for a couple hours. We were both pretty tired. :( We found our way to the KOA and set up our tent.
Mike took a little nap while me and the kids went to the park to play. Then we headed to the Badlands.
We got out and walked around the fossil trail.
The kids had fun climbing rocks and looking for fossils.
We saw a lot of prairie dogs.
We found our way to Wall Drug.
It was a fun little store.
We had lunch and the kids played in the fountain.
They had a lot of stuff set up for pictures.
The kids loved it!
We had fun.
Then we headed back to our campground.
The kids wanted to swim. Mike was nice enough to take them, while I took a shower. Then we had dinner. Me and Mike had Indian Tacos provided by the KOA, the kids had sandwiches.
We played a couple of card games in the tent, Uno, and War, before we went to bed.
Wesley likes to climb into bed with Bensen, he does this at home too.
Jaycee woke up nice and happy.
We got up and packed everything away, and headed to Custer.
