Bear Lake

We decided to go camping over the 4th of July...crazy crowded! It was the first time we've really been camping. We went to Lake Powell when Jaycee was a baby, but other then that nothing. I've been bothering Mike about camping for a long time, I had talked to his sister Sarah about going, so we just planned it.

My sister Amber and her family came up for a day, and my parents brought up the boat. It was kind of cold, and the water was freezing! We had a lot of fun anyway. Don't you love the underwear under Jaycee's suit? She had to wear them because her suit gave her a "wedge". She's a funny kid. Wesley was not a fan of the life jacket.

Jaycee rode in the tube with Mae and loved it.

I thought I was going to have to go with her, so I got my (wet and cold) life jacket on and everything, then she told me she didn't want me to go with her! Sad. We stayed at the KOA, so there was a playground and HEATED swimming pool and this big jumping pillow (which I loved, better then a tramp!), and a bike rental.

We really did have a lot of fun. Jaycee, just the other night after I put her in bed was telling me all about the playground and the fire and the tent. She's so cute. Both the kids did so good. They both slept through the night. Who said camping with little one's was too hard? :)

Sod

We have grass!!! Mike put in a lot of hours but it was worth it. Here's a before picture.

Taking a lunch break. :)

The Morning of Sod. Mike told everyone that he was starting at 9 am...this was at 7:30. Notice the mow strip and some of the front yard done. I think he was out there by 6. He's so funny.
We had a lot of help and it went down a lot faster then we thought it was going to. I think most people showed up around 9, and we were done by 11. So a big thanks to those who came and helped. It's not the funnest job in the world. And here it is a couple of days later.
A guy that Mike works with gave us some transplants, we are hoping they don't all die. We got a great deal on flowers. I bought 4 FLATS for 20 bucks! That's a lot of flowers! We also got mulch and some bushes. Hopefully in the fall we will get a couple trees.
And my mom let me have her bench. Thanks mom. And there you have it. Mike's already looking for another project to start working on. He always has to fixing something. I'm trying to talk him into a fixer up camper. We'll see.

My New Do

For as long as I can remember I've been telling my sister Jaime to chop my hair off! Followed up with "I really want to grow it out." So for my whole life pretty much I've been trying to grow it out. Unsuccessfully at that. Well not anymore! This time I really let her chop it all off. After I had both my kids my hair fell out like crazy. Then when they turn about 6 months old it starts to grow back in, so I have all these little hairs that drive me nuts! I Don't think they will bother me as much this time. It is so weird to look in a mirror, I still do a double take and it's been a couple days. So here it is.
