Fourth times a charm...

Hopefully! Well, I just had my fourth shoulder surgery. We (me and my poor doctor) hope it the last one, at least for a long time. So here we sit, Mike is taking care of me and Jaycee. Jaycee pretty much wants nothing to do with me, which is good, because I can't do much. We are still trying to get ready for Christmas. We are pretty close to being done, Mike still has a little shopping to do. That's pretty much it for us.
Until next time, Merry Christmas!!

Tagged

This tag has been going around for a while, I was starting to think nobody cared what my weird quarks. Luckily Amber wanted to know. So here goes.

1. I hate walking around in bare feet. I keep my socks on until I get in bed. It's especially bad at hotels.

2. I can't stand when things are close together, packed tight. Like when you cook the instant mac & cheese, when you get the noodles out of the microwave and they are all standing to together, looking at you. Fish scales. Or the pictures on the news of the muscles that attack your boat motor. Make me GAG!!

3. I want to have a workshop in my garage where people can come and make ceramics and wood crafts. I would even have a cute little place for the kids!

4. I love to be with my family. This might sound normal to some people, but I know some people think that's weird. I can't imagine not being able to see them. I love having them all so close. I seriously think we should all build houses in the same cul-de-sac. Then we could have our craft night in my little work shop:)

5. I really like to play Nintendo. I haven't played for a while, I miss it. Me and Mike went and saw the new 007, that made both of us want to play.

6. I love to read. All books.

7. I like having a project to work on. Most of the time I have several projects. Cross stitches, remodeling our house, painting, yard things:) I just wish I was more creative. I usually need a lot of help with my projects.

Twilight Fun

Twiligt the movie Pictures, Images and Photos

Now I've never been a big fan of going to movies at midnight the day they come out. For instance I went to one of the Harry Potters and slept through the whole thing. This was back in the day when you had to stand in line to get a good seat!! So that sucked, and everyone was pushy. I hate crowds!!! Twilight was different, for one the only line I had to stand in was to get a drink. We walked right in and sat down. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty sleepy and thought I might fall a sleep. However the movie was actually really good. I was a little worried because it had been talked up for so long, and I really liked the books. But it was really good. I plan on going to see it again only with Mike this time. I think even he would like it. The movie was great, the company was great. I went with all my sisters, sister-in-laws and my mom. But the best part of the night was when I got home, I got ready for bed, then I went and checked on Jaycee. I went in to cover her up and she lifted her little head and said "Hi" then laid right back down, so I covered her up and started to walk out and she goes "Bye, bye". She is so dang cute.

Anyway, I definitely recommend the movie. Sometimes, if you haven't read the books you will miss a little inside joke. Jaime kept turning to me and say "Did I miss something?" Because everyone was laughing and she had no idea why.

One last note our primary program is tomorrow, so pray for us, because that's the only way were going to get through it!!:)

We had a really good dinner tonight, Chicken Breast with Tomatillo Salsa. I wish I had taken a picture because it looked almost as good as it taste. It was really easy to make, from start to finish it only took about 25 minutes. And it Makes 4 serving.

2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup tomatillos
3 tablespoons snipped fresh cilantro
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

1. In a resealable plastic bag combine cornmeal, flour, chili powder, salt, and pepper. add a few chicken pieces. Seal bag; shake to coat.

2. In a large skillet cook chicken in hot oil over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes of until chicken is no longer pink. Turning once.

3. Meanwhile, for salsa, coarsely chop tomatillos. In a small bowl stir together chopped tomatillos, the cilantro, onion, lime juice, and jalapeno pepper. Serve over chicken.

I cooked the chicken while Mike made the salsa. We served it over rice, and it was delicious!! I'm posting this especially for Jaime, because I think she would really like it.

Until next time, enjoy!

Engagement Anniversary

Today is the 3 year mark for the day Me and Mike got engaged! It's kind of funny, he had planned to ask me on Halloween, I ended up having to work on Halloween, so he had to scramble to push up the date. Because of that, he did not ask my Parents permission. He had decorated his room all scary. There was fog and everything. He made me dinner, meatloaf I think, because that is my favorite!! He got my favorite sobe to drink and there we scary cups full of chocolate covered Cinnamon bears, another one of my favorites! While we ate we watched "Haunted Honeymoon". After dinner we did a puzzle, not just any puzzle, it was a picture of us from the previous year at the haunted Heber creeper. Anyway, we get to the last piece and it is nowhere to be found. I was like "Oh great you lost my face!" He said to look for it. So he got down on the ground and found it. By this time he is shaking, and I'm pretty sure I now whats coming. He comes up with the puzzle piece and a poem. A very nice sweet poem about how I complete his puzzle. Then I put the last piece of the puzzle in and he's down on his knee with my ring! The ring I had showed him two years earlier. I can't remember the exact words after that. He was crying I was crying. Anyway we pulled ourselves together, and called his mom down to take a picture, and she was all confused. She was like "What's going on". Mike was down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. I of coarse already have the ring on my finger. It took her a minute to understand what was going on. Then she was crying! and then we were crying again. It was a good time. So I guess Mike was the only one in on the secret. It was a good time. And I'm sure glad he chose me!!!

Bailey Halloween Party

Well, last night was the Bailey Halloween Party, and let me tell you, they went all out this year!!! We had so much fun. First off let me start by saying it wasn't just our halloween party it was two of our close neighbor's partys also. It was fun to see the people we grew up with and there kids all dressed up and being silly. Our parents rent this Halloween train that drives us around the block. All the families take turns. It's pretty fun!! There was a fishing hole and a ring around the bottle game, a cake walk and of coarse there was a frankenstine pinyta!!

Let me just tell you this is my favorite time of year. I love the fall colors, the weather, the FOOD!! I love getting dressed up and being silly. Mike thinks I'm wierd because I dress Jaycee up all month. She has a Halloween outfit for almost everyday of the week. I try to spread them out so she does wear normal outfits every once in a while.:) I even wore the shirt I made for my Halloween costume to work yesterday. I'm looking forward to the rest of the month. We are going to try and go to the Pumkin Patch and the Pumkin Walk before the month is over.

Until next time, Happy Halloween!

Believe it or not, we actually did some fun things this last week. First of all last weekend we went to the Circus. I LOVED the circus. I've never been before, and always wanted to go and it did not disappoint.

The elephants were my favorite.
They are so cute. Jaycee liked it for the most part, she was ready to go home at intermission. We had a lot of fun. We went with Trevor, Katie, Max and Paige. Max was so funny. He LOVED the tigers with their eyes. And Paige was dancing through the whole thing. So we had a lot of fun.

Then last night we went to the Treehouse for a Haunted Forest. Jaycee was our little pirate. It was really cute, they had people dressed up and they told stories like "Alice in Wonderland", "Little Miss Muffett" while the kids tried to find the mean dragon. It was fun Jaycee liked running around looking at the stuff. She wasn't that interested in the stories. But we still had a lot of fun. Jaycee also beat Mike up with the flute they gave her. She made him bleed.

Remodeling

Well, it's decided, I am not a very good blogger. My life just isn't that interesting. We don't ever really do anything exciting. Right now we are just working on our house. We decided to tile the kitchen floor and the hallway. If you know us we can't just stop there. So now we have the moldings all riped off, and our house is a mess. Just waiting to be painted. Well first we have to get rid of tall the cracks and dents that come with an old house. Anyway that's what we've been up to. Not real exciting. I'll have to post some pictures so you can see what We've (Mike) has been up to. Me and Jaycee mainly just watch. Jaycee loves to help out when we let her. We give her a scrapper and she goes to town with it. She follows Mike around copying everything he does. It's pretty cute, until she starts pulling on the paint, making big holes in the walls which Mike then has to fill with mud. Ahh the fun of remodeling!!

Back to School

Man, summer went by sooo fast. I had to go back to work this week. It was so sad, it felt like i never left, never got a break. I know some of you are thinking poor me. But it was hard for me. Jaycee doesn't seem to care weather I'm gone or not, that's sad too. I keep telling myself it's because at grandma's she gets to play with her cousins.
I'm getting pretty excited about fall. I love the fall, by far the best season. Not to cold or hot, beautiful colors, the crisp air and of course Halloween, which I love love! I like going to any store and see everything halloween, even if it is still August! I've always liked to get dressed up and eat candy. My kind of holliday.
Anyway nine more months till schools out!

Breaking Dawn

I have to say, I love the Twilight Series! I read Breaking Dawn in 3 days! Thats 750 pages in 3 days. It was my least favorite of the 4 books, but I still loved it. I can't wait untill she writes Edwards book, Midnight Sun. I also think that she left the book open for more books about different people. Im pretty sad that its over, so I hope that she writes more. That's all Im going to say about that.

Time Fly's

I cant beleive how fast time goes by, and how fast Jaycee is growing!! Now that she is ONE she is a totally different kid. Its pretty funny. She started "trying" to climb on everything! Yesterday we were over and Mike's parents house and she tried to climb up there piano. She loves to play up on the couches. She jumps and crawls around, leans on the arm rests. It makes me pretty nervous. Which brings me to her tantrums. If I try to get her off of the couch she throws herself on the floor and screams. Not cry's, screams at the top of her lungs, give me the chills, screams. Thats pretty fun! NOT:) But most of the new stuff is good. She likes to comb her hair. She even cooperates when I get her dresses. She will give kisses to adults sometimes, and she will give kisses to other kids always! I can now give her a piece of bread or a chicken nuggett and she will tear it into little pieces for herself of take the cutest little bits out of them. I love to see her use the 5 teeth she has.
Anyway time goes by to fast.

Denver

Well we just got back from our last trip this summer. We spent the week of the 14-18 just outside of Denver. A vacation for me and Jaycee, and work for Mike. Mike was training all week during the day so me and Jaycee went and hung out with my Aunt Paulette and my cousins Heather and Lindsey. We had a really good time. They took me boating and I did the best I have ever done on the wakeboard, and the kneeboard for that matter. It was so fun. They also took me to the Denver Aquarium.
I thought Jaycee was going to love it because she went nuts in Seattle. She liked it but she was a little grumpy. She did like the turtles!Mike got to play a little bit. Mostly work and homework for him.
It was fun spending time with my extended family. I should do that more often

We went to Lake Powell a couple of weeks ago. My family goes every year and we were unable to go last year because Jaycee was so new. We had such a great time. Jaycee loved floating in the water in her little crab. It was super hot so we spent a lot of time just floating:)
Every night it got really windy almost everybody's tents broke. But it wouldn't have been a Bailey vacation without some sort of weather inclement. I seriously think this is the first time I've ever been to Lake Powell with out it raining! crazy, I kind of missed it.
I think half the reason I like to go is just to get to spend time with my family. I love just sitting and talking to them, or playing "Queen of the water Tramp" or whatever we do. We always have such a good time. I have the best family:)

Oh and by the way, I am the Queen of the water Tramp!

Freedom

Happy July!! I am so thankful for my freedom, for this wonderful country that I live in. For the men and women who protect my freedom everyday, for the opportunity that I have to choose where I want to go to church, work, shop or even to play. I am truly blessed to live in such a great place.

Happy Birthday Jaycee

Wow, I can't believe that it has already been a year!! Time goes by so fast. Jaycee is our only child, she is the light of our lives. She always makes us smile. Shes a little tease. She loves to scuz people off. Its pretty embarrising. I was at the store the other day and the lady working the counter said "She's so cute how old is she?" Anyway Jaycee gave the lady the biggest scuz. That's not the first time and Im sure if wont be the last. She's moving all over the place now and she gets more fun everyday. Im looking forward to all the things she will accomplish this year! We celebrated Jaycee's birthday by going to the zoo in the morning and having her little party that night. We also went to Doug & Emmys for breakfast. Jaycee wasn't as impressed with the zoo as she was with the aquarium. We still had fun. She was really scared of that big ape her and Mike are sitting by. It was kind of funny, because I've never seen her be scared of anything.

For her party we just invited my family and Mikes family which is about 30 people. We had it in our backyard which worked out nicely. We had a little pool and slip and slid. Jaycee even got in the pool and liked it, she also liked the slip and slid. My mom gave her a little couch that she loves. It's so funny to see her sitting on her little couch. She looks so big.
I really can't believe she's one. What a year.

Happy Birthday Jaycee!!

Happy Father's Day!

Mike is such a good dad. Jaycee lights up when he gets home from work. It's really cute. And she always looks for him, even when he's not home, especially when Im changing her diaper or her clothes. Because when he is home he plays "peek-a-boo" with her when Im doing those things. It's pretty funny. Mike would do anything for her. I tried to tell him he's going to make her a stress eater, because every time she gets hurt or crys for any reason he starts giving her food. Maybe that one of the reasons she likes him so much. :) Just kidding Im sure it's because she can feel how much he loves her. Anyway like I said, Mike is such a good dad. Happy Fathers Day Mike!!

Washington Part 2

We took a little trip to the Seattle Temple. Jaycee's first temple trip. Jaycee and Emily sat in the waiting room. Emily said Jaycee was very good. It was a nice little trip. After the Temple we went to a glass museum. It was pretty cool. You could watch how they made blown glass. Then they had a lot on display to see. It was a good day. Oh, and Mike wanted me to include that we also ate at Jack in the Box.

I'm the new primary president in my ward, and I have no idea what I'm doing. So if anyone out there has any ideas, I'm open to anything. We have a quarterly activity coming up and I have no idea what to do. Advice on everything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We Are the Borgstroms

Well, I still haven't figured things out. I'm just going to start by telling you a little about our family. Mike works at the IRS as an auditor. He's also attending the University of Phoenix, getting some accounting classes. I work at Northridge High School as an attendance secretary. I love it. Something new everyday. Jaycee is the cutest baby in the world, she is ten and a half months old, not crawling yet, but getting closer. She is so much fun.
