Some of Our November

I love when I walk in a room and I find my kids like this.
We have been doing fertility treatment FOREVER it seems like. Really it's only been a little over 2 years. Pretty much an eternity! I've been on Clomid, Letrazol, Femara, Hcg shots, trigger shots, and Metformin. We've done 2 IUI's and had one miscarriage. We decided last month that we were going to take a break.  I feel good about the decision. It's nice to not be medicated! I've felt like a crazy lady. I have had a lot of support, especially from the ladies I work with in the Young Women's. I don't know if I would have made it through the last year without them.  They have been a huge blessing for me.
I know the Lord has a plan for us, and if He wants us to have more kids then we will. I feel like we've done everything we could.
I put a lot of things on hold while trying to get pregnant, soccer was one that I missed the most.  Every time a season would end I would be so mad, because I could have played.
I started subbing with teams at the beginning of this year, then once I turned 30 I started to play in the Old Ladies league with my sisters.  I've always loved soccer, but it is so much more fun now that I can play with my sisters.  I love our team, we have a lot of fun, we even took 2nd place this season, and I was the second highest scorer in our league...WHAT!
I had Matt, Jaime's husband take some action shots for me. Our games are usually pretty late so Mike doesn't make it to most of them.
This is what I look like after I've been in for like 2 minutes! I'm a little out of shape. I guess I should try working out more then once a week. :)
Again I look a little winded here.  This was right after Adrian scored. The goalie kicked it as hard as she could and it hit Adrian in the face and went in the goal.  Which tied thing up. It was pretty awesome.
We ended up winning by one, against a team that hates us, and is mean!
Winning is always fun, but even more fun against that team.
Jaycee has been talking about building a snowman all year, so when we had a good snowfall we went out to play.  The snow was not great and I told Jaycee I wasn't sure if it was going to work.  She pointed out that the neighbor girls had built one, so we should be able to.  After a few pointers from them, we were golden.
After we were done building him they made him different colors with food coloring and water.  I need better spray bottles next time.
We had a good Thanksgiving. We spent the day with Mike's family. There was so much good food, we all ate until we were very full.  Then Grandma LouLou pulled out like 10 pies that she had made! There is always room for pie...right.
I went out shopping that night with Jaime, my first time ever. And most likely my last time ever. I was not a fan. :)
Jaycee also started to get sick this night.  We took her to the Dr. on Saturday and she had Croup. Wesley went to the Dr. on Tue the 27 and he also has Croup.  Good times. At least we were able to enjoy Thanksgiving.  Hopefully we will all be well for Christmas.  Every time we see Andrew and Cheryl's family Wesley is sick. They are coming up for Christmas, so we will have to wait and see.
On Saturday after Thanksgiving Ogden City has a Parade, fireworks, and then turns on the Christmas lights.
Wesley didn't like the loud sirens at the parade. I know he looks like he's asleep, he's not, he's just not happy.  Once the real parade started he perked up.
Jaycee was excited from the beginning.
Santa was at the end of the parade. The kids had talked to him the day before at the festival of trees.  It was a really fun parade, I can't believe we have never gone before.  We didn't stick around to see the light because it was so crowded, we figured we would go back another day. I have planned out a 25 day's of Christmas for the kids, and that is one of our days.
We had a good November and we are looking forward to December.  Merry Christmas! HO HO HO.

Happy Halloween!

How is it November already? I swear time is going by so fast!
This year we were The Supers. I think our family costume are coming to an end.  It was hard to come up with something Jaycee and Wesley agreed on. First Jaycee wanted to be  a cat, then a witch. We bought her a witch costume, but when it came we were not impressed. I think she wanted it because it lit up, and it didn't lite up very well. Wesley saw superman at Walmart one day and that was it for him. There was no talking him out of it.  When Jaycee was that little she didn't get a choice, she was what I wanted her to be. Not so with Wesley. So I was able to talk Jaycee into being Supergirl. I took her to the store and let her try on the costume. She liked how sparkly it was so we were good.
Almost every year we have parties early in October.  This year our first party was on the 29th. Maybe that's why I felt like Halloween snuck up on me. October 29th was our Bailey Halloween party.

Some of the Bailey cousins, and Grandpa Max.
All the Bailey cousin's except for Colton.

We had fun, my mom got the train again. The kids love the train.  She did the haunted fishing hole, a ring toss, and a pinata.
Here's Wesley and Brody.
And Jaycee and Paige.
With Grandma Carmae.
Usually everyone dresses up, even the adults.  Not so this year, me and Jaime and my mom and dad were the only ones in costume. Katie did have some pretty cool glasses and Trevor had a scary mask, so I guess that counts. I made Amber put on my skeleton shirt from last year, and I pretty much had to force her. That was a little disappointing. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with, and this year it was a little sad.
Me, my mom and my sisters. I really love getting together with all of them.
We have a lot of fun.
I love that Mike goes along with me every year.  He is such a good sport and he never complains, another of the many reasons I love him.
I love my parents.

Jaime and Matt, aka Ursula and King Triton.
Wesley taking a crack at the pinata.
Jaycee having her turn.
Even some of the adults got in on the fun.
We start with the youngest and work our way up. Right after this picture was taken Spencer broke the bat and put a hole in the wall.
We didn't let that stop us.

Trevor finally just ripped it open.  I love the people in the back ground.

We had a pasta bar that was really good.  Katie made mummy dogs for the kids. Joy made a really good drink. Jaime made pumpkin bar. The rest of us helped with the pasta bar stuff. The food is always great.
On the 30th we had our neighborhood party. I'm not going to lie I didn't really want to dress up.  I guess I was kind of in a funk. I thought we were going to be the only ones dressed up. Luckily once we got there, there was a lot of people dressed up and it was a lot of fun.  We had a really good turn out, we didn't run out of food, which is always a plus, but we did run out of candy.
On Halloween Jaycee had a class party.  I was able to go and help, that was fun. Later that day was the Borgstrom party. We got all dressed up again. Mike's mom goes all out. The kids decorated cookies and she had cute cups full of candy.  We had Chili, mummy dogs, bread sticks, and she made a pretty awesome Halloween cake.

They played pin the nose on the pumpkin.

Then they went "Trick or Treating" with their cousins (Sarah's kids). They got really good candy, both me and Mike were impressed.

We went back a little early and the littler kids were able to play the doughnut on a string game.  That was pretty funny. Jaycee was using Wesley's arm to keep hers steady.  He did not appreciate that very much, he got pretty sticky. In the end Jaycee won.

Then we went back to our neighborhood and went "Trick or Treating" to a couple of houses.  Jaycee was a little disappointed that we didn't get any trick or treaters, and I felt bad that we weren't home to answer the door. But our whole street was dark so I don't think we would have gotten very many anyway.
Anyway, we had a really good Halloween. And I had a good time pulling our costumes together. I can't wait to see what happens next year. Hopefully we can still do our family costumes. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
