Thanksgiving and the Day After

We had a really nice Thanksgiving. This year was with my family.  We went up to Joys, everyone in family was there, along with my Grandma and Grandpa Allred, my Aunt Char, Uncle Rick, Uncle Dean, and my cousins Parker, and Heath. We ate a lot of good food and played games.
I love my family.
For the month of November the kids wrote down things that they were thankful for. Here they are the day after Thanksgiving showing the things they were thankful for. Some of the things included:
Jesus, family, bodies, bones, blood, temples, home, trees, leaves, turkey, among many others.
We took down the Thanksgiving stuff and put up the Christmas.
The kids decorated the tree all by themselves this year. Jaycee even did the star.
They had so much fun. We had fun watching them.
They did a pretty good job.
Later that night we went to the Willard Bay lights.  This was our first year going to see them, They were pretty good...I don't know that they were worth the $10 we paid to get in.
The kids got to see Santa and didn't have to stand in line at all.
Jaycee told him she wants a remote control car.
Wesley said he wanted a telescope.
Bensen just wanted off his lap. :)
After we saw Santa we went and drank some hot chocolate by the big fire.
After the hot chocolate we drove through the lights one more time.
We wore the boys out and we still need to have dinner. The kids got Wendy's and me and Mike got Costa Vida. Yummy.
To Wesley defense he has been sick. He keeps trying to tell me he was faking.
I love this family of mine.

Emily got Married

Well, it happened!
On November 24th Emily and Josh got married.
It was a beautiful day, and everything was perfect.
They were sealed in the Ogden temple.

I thought Jaycee was going to be Emily's shadow, nope it was Bensen.  He wanted her to hold him all day. He walked around saying "Want Emily."
They had a really nice luncheon at the church, then their reception was at the Union Station. It was all so nice. They had hot chocolate and scones. Yum.
Bensen wanted to be with Emily at the reception also.  He even stood in line with her for a little bit. Crazy boy.
The kids had fun helping clean up the dishes and watching the present table.  They really loved the dancing at the end.  We had a great time.

November Shenanigans

Emily had a few bridal showers in the last couple of weeks.
The first one was at her house.  She got so much great stuff! Everything she opened I was like, I don't have that, or I need that.
The next weekend she had her friend shower at our house.
These girls know how to party. :)
He last shower was the next weekend at Josh's Aunts house.  I seriously cant believe how much stuff they got, and they still have there wedding to come!
Jaycee had a fun time dressing Bensen up.
Wesley even got in on the fun.
Everyone will be happy when Jaycee has a little sister to dress up and be girly with.
Wesley made this Indian costume at school.
Isn't he the cutest little Indian?
We are excited for the upcoming wedding, and Thanksgiving.

90th Birthday!

Today is Grandma Allreds 90th Birthday!
Grandpa Allred turned 90 earlier this year, I was in Hawaii, so I didn't get to go to his party.
Grandma was always quilting. This is a quilt she made of all the flags of all the counties that her and Grandpa have been too...pretty amazing!
My Grandma taught me how to sew, and play Majong. She's always in a good mood. I always loved going to her house, especially on Christmas Eve.  We would always stop there on our way to Lake Powell and sleepover. I even got to go stay over for a couple of weekends. That's when Grandma taught me to sew.
I feel so blessed to have both my Grandparents in my life. They are so amazing, such good examples to me and my kids.
