Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We were up soo early this year! With Viv being sick she had the whole house awake by 5 o'clock! Me and Mike had been up with her an hour earlier then that. Poor sick baby.
Don't worry, we didn't let the kids get up that early.  Mike went and told them they had to wait until 6. They were not all that happy about it, and here I thought we would be opening presents after church. They don't usually wake up so early.
So I got up and started making breakfast. I made a cinnamon roll casserole. While it was cooking the kids came out and went through their socks and what Santa had brought them. Then we ate breakfast. The kids didn't love it. Wesley especially didn't like the spinach I put in it! I had to assure him it definitely didn't have any spinach, he still would not eat it. Who puts spinach in cinnamon rolls? Not me!
This year Jaycee and Wesley picked out the same thing for each other, silly string. It has been fun seeing what they think the other person would like. It was a hard task for Wesley, he found a lot of stuff he wanted to get for himself, we had to keep reminding him that we were looking for his siblings.
The kids always get way too much for Christmas. Every year I tell myself I'm going to reign it in...I never do. This year they got Vivofit Jr's. art sets, blankets with their names embroidered on them, clothes, shoes, a couple of movies and a Wii U game. Along with other things.
Santa brought them all what they had asked for. They must have been pretty good this year. Although I did threaten them several times in the last month that Santa might just skip over our house.
The gifts the kids got me this year were great! Jaycee got me nail polish, Wesley got me a selfie stick, and Bensen got me a party hat!
Jaycee got Mike some pens, Wesley got him a plug that you can plug three things into, and Bensen got him a pen holder.
Vivian loved her presents from the kids. Jaycee got her some new bath toys, Wesley got her new spoons, and  Bensen picked her out teething toy. Which was much need because she is getting some teeth.
She was much happier today and had more energy. Still fevering, that's why she's naked.
After we got everything  opened it was time to get ready for church.
After church we were off to Grandma Carmae's for second breakfast, (breakfast casseroles, french toast, and little smokies) and more presents!
After we went to Mikes house for some games. Later we went to Trevor's to play more games! We were seriously home for an hour or two all day!
The kids made out like bandits again this year. We also had snow, Christmas day is really the only acceptable day for snow in my opinion.
I am so grateful for my Savior and the opportunity to celebrate his birth. I hope we can all try to be more like him and celebrate him all year round.

Christmas Eve

We kind of procrastinated with our gingerbread houses this year. But we got them done before Christmas.
The kids were so excited all day to go to Grandma and Grandpa Borgstrom's. It was torture waiting until 5 o'clock to roll around. Sometimes they do a little devotional type thing. Jaycee really wanted to do the Nativity this year, last year they didn't do one. She has been trying to be Mary for years. This was her year. Wesley was a Wiseman, the only thing Bensen wanted to be was an angel, and Viv was baby Jesus.
It was really cute. Mike was the Narrator and I read a few of the scriptures.  It was fun.
Then Logan played the guitar, Elsie and Bensen sang a few Christmas songs, and we watched a video of a live nativity and of a little girl singing Hallelujah.
It was all so good.
Then the kids got to open their pj's from grandma. The kids love matching jammies with their cousins.
Then we played the plate on the head game.  Cheryl won.
Then we took a few cousin pictures.
This is a good looking group of kids!
Then it was time to open presents! The kids are so lucky to have so many people who love them! Seriously Me and Mike could have got them nothing and they still would have received plenty!
Vivian is still sick.  It is like I said before, just when I think she is getting better she gets something totally different.  I took her to the doctor today and they said she has an ear infection.  She's also had a fever and been pretty lifeless. That's why she is half dressed. She did like sitting in the cute turtle that Mikes mom got her.
Hopefully she gets feeling better soon. Jaycee was sick on her first Christmas too. I remember me and Mike decided to go open presents at like 4 in the morning because we were awake anyway. Come to think of it I'm betting that Wesley was sick too, just because he was always sick.
Happy Christmas Eve!
(I had to sneak in a picture of my Christmas shirt. When I showed it to Mike he asked me if it was a joke. I told him no, I saw it and was like "I have to have that shirt!" so now I do, and another very similar to it.

Christmas Fun

Merry Almost Christmas!

I decided to do our Christmas pictures the week before Christmas this year.
I figured we will be in a big rush on Christmas with 9 o'clock church and all.
Jaycee loves to get her picture taken...the boys not so much.
Our Bailey Party was on the 23rd this year at Joy's house. We had yummy dinner, pork chops, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, rolls, salad, and some yummo desserts.
After we ate we played some games. Lets just say the girls kicked butt at family feud.
Once Branson saw that I had a camera he followed me with this cute little cheeser face.
We also played some Timeline.
I love this time of the year and the time we get to spend with our families.

Indoor Winter Stuff

Vivian is getting so fun. She been so good to play with toys and scoot around.
When it's too cold to go outside and play what do you do? Cup stacking of course! Wesley had so much fun with cups...who knew?
The kids had their first sleep by the Christmas tree.  That's always fun!
I loved getting Viv all festive.

The kids got to see Santa at the family rec center.
Jaycee asked for makeup and chalk hair.
Wesley asked for a 3D pen.
Bensen asked for a new pillow pet, because mom smashed his old one. :(
Vivian was just happy to be there.
Vivian fell asleep in the high chair for the first time. That's always cute.
The kids are so excited for Christmas this year. Bensen is especially excited this year, he loved seeing Santa and he goes around the house singing Christmas songs all day, and he loves all the lights. Oh to be two again.
We started our 12 days of Christmas. It is one that I did for the Young Women for a couple of years. You read a scripture and then it challenges you to do something at the end.
As a parent I realize my most important job as a parent is to teach my kids about Jesus Christ.  I just hope we are doing a good enough job.  We also have been working a few Secret Service things, which the kids have really enjoyed doing.
