January

Happy 16th Anniversary! We stayed at the Anniversary Inn and order some Thai food. We went for a drive up Monte. We had a fun weekend.

The kids got introduced to the message train,
Me, Amber and Jaime went and hiked Green Pond.

Temple Day.

Bensen turned 8!
He gets to celebrate his birthday with Elsie at Borgtroms. Sarah made the cake this year, Bensen requested fruit pizza. Aunt Sarah is the best!
Mike took the older kids skiing. They went with Amber and her older kids. They loved it!

Me and Jaime bought a new laser! We are pretty excited about it. It auto levels and has a red dote so we can tell where it is going to start lasering.

Chester, our cat, went missing for a couple days. The kids were looking all over for him. He is a roamer so we figure one day he is just going to disappear. The kids went to tell Sarahs family to keep an out for him. Jim saw him sitting the the Winterton's garage window! They were in Florida, so he was stuck in there for 3 days. He destroyed their blinds and walked all over their car.

Viv saw this hood for a demolition derby and asked it Chester broke it!😀

We are glad to have Chester back.
Wesley started Jr. Jazz.

Some days we have to wait for the bus for a long time, especially on late start for the older kid days. The kids stayed nice and warm all crammed together.
We took the kids on a hike. I don't remember the name of it. It might have been Waterfall in Ogden. It was fun, very slippery. We had spikes, but we hadn't put them on, it got icy for a minute and Grandpa Max took a slip. He was hurting pretty bad, so me, Mike and the younger kids turned around. Grandpa had his spikes on for the way down.
The older kids loved the rest of the hike.

Bensen

Bensen turned 8! This is a big one. On the Bailey's side of the family this is the last year he will get a party, he also gets to get baptized! He has to wait until March because Jaycee has a soccer tournament the first week in February.
First he got to celebrate with the Borgstroms. Aunt Sarah made him a fruit pizza cake. He loved it. Elsie's birthday is two days before his so they get to celebrate together.

On his birthday he got waffles for breakfast, then he opened presents before everyone headed off to school.

After school we went to Urban Air. The kids love this place. Again a place on the Get Out pass so we usually only go once a year.

After Urban Air we ended up at Pizza Pie Cafe.

Bensen loves Legos. These Mario Legos and pretty fun. He was pretty excited to get Bowsers ship.
The Sunday after his birthday we celebrated with the Baileys. He wanted a Link cake but I couldn't find any Link toys to put on top, so I made this bigfoot cake topper. When I was finished I realized I could have just made him a Link cake topper...oh well, maybe next year.

Happy Birthday Bensen! We sure love you.

December

The teenagers got to see Santa at the mall!
I tried a Wasjig puzzle for the first time, I really liked it. The puzzle is different then the picture on the box.
Bensen lost another front tooth. My favorite thing is that when he smiles you can't even tell they are missing.

Sunday Best

The kids are all busy (except Viv) with basketball. I am not very good at taking pictures during the games. They are all loving playing! Grandma and Grandpa are their number 1 fans! They hardly ever miss a game.
Viv got creative with Mikes hair!
The kids finally got to hold Bea. It seems like they had to wait forever because one person or the other was sick.
I got braces! Man, they are the worst! Had I known how terrible they were I probably would not have got them. My teeth were fairly straight. I had a pretty bad overbite, and jaw problems. I am hoping they help with that.

We love our Borgstrom traditions. Getting together on Christmas Eve eating too much food, playing games and of course the Nativity. Every year the kids take turns being in charge.

Cousin Josh who is serving a mission in California (Spanish speaking) drew Wesley name he sent him Mexican candy, socks, a hat, and a blanket. They kids tried the candy, they were not fans.

We have a pretty good sledding hill up in Deer Run. It's not too big or small, it is fun for all the kids.

They made some snowbuddies at the sledding hill.

We also have a pretty good hill right in our front yard! This took me all morning to build. We mostly had fun and we only had on kid (Viv) fly over the little wall.
While I worked on the hill the kids worked on this!
Wesley created the perfect chair to eat lunch.
We started New Years Eve with the Borgstrom's eating, playing games, and holding Bea.
And ended the night at Trevor and Katie's house.

This year has been great! I love to see everyone grow and I am excited to see what next year brings!
