Jaycee's Farewell

Oh man, this came too fast! Jaycee had her farewell today. She did so good on her talk, she amazes me everyday! She practiced so much, then this morning she said, I'm just going to ready my paper. I told her that would be fine. She didn't, she looked up a lot, I never would have guessed she was nervous!
I made it through her whole talk without crying, then Viv turns to me and says "Are you going to cry?" I said no, the hardest part is over. The she said, "No, the hardest part is letting her go!" I lost it! I started crying, hen Viv started crying because I was crying. I pulled myself together and then I told Mike what she said, then he was crying...then we were all crying again! All the while Jaycee is looking at us like we are crazy!. It was a really good day. I am so grateful for all who showed support and love to Jaycee! She really is the best.

Temple and Mission Call

Isn't she the cutest! It's fun to see Jaycee growing and making good choices. She decided to go through the Ogden temple on February 5th! With lots of support from family and friends. We are so grateful for all those who love and support Jaycee! We missed a few people in the pictures.

She got her mission call a few days later on February 7th. She is going to Fort Collins, Colorado! She starts home MTC on March 30th and goes to the MTC on April 8th. We are so excited for her!

Graduate

Back in December Jaycee finished up her Associate degree. Today the certificate showed up! We are so proud of her! She worked so hard and almost had it before she graduated high school, she just needed one more class. She is officially a Junior in college!🥳

Track and National Jr Honor Society

May is always full of a lot of things! Wesley decided to do track this year. He did the long jump and the high jump. In North end he took 9th with a 16’7” jump. His best jump of the season was 16’10”. Only the top 8 went to district. On the high jump he took 2nd at North end with a 5’8” jump, and tied for 5th at District with. 5’4”jump! Not to shabby, especially since he only went to track practice a few times because of lacrosse, which ended this week. He really enjoyed lacrosse too. Wes also had a 9th grade Honors banquet, which he attended with his cousins. These kids are so smart!  Then Jaycee had her National Honors Society end of year banquet.  I only took a video so I don't have any pictures. I can hardly believe that she is just about graduated. She also played her second to last lacrosse game. It was at Box Elder and most of the team went to Maddox after the game. Good memories.

Senior Knight

We got to celebrate Jaycee tonight at senior night! She has loved playing lacrosse and loves her coaches and team. We love watching her play…even when they lose. She did have two assist tonight. And so much support from our families, some pictured some not, and her friends! Thanks for supporting one of our favorite lacrosse players!

November

Jaycee played in a lacrosse tournament. I love watching lacrosse. It is even better when they win! They won all of their games.
Wesley is doing great at basketball. They had their 9th grade game and honored all the 9th graders.
Jaycee went to her first high school dance. She asked Boston Ferrin. I think she had a fun time! I have been trying to talk her into going to a dance for 3 years. She finally did it.
Wesley joined the National Jr Honors Society. He may have been forced, but he did it.  He thinks it's a scam.
We spent Thanksgiving with the Borgstroms this year. Getting together with family is the best.
Viv's soccer team decided to do a session of indoor. She gets to play goalie half of the game. She is loving it!
Basketball is coming to an end. She was just starting to get it. It is hard when the kids like to try all the things. Just as they are getting good and understanding what is going on, they switch sports!

Soccer and Lemonade Stands

Jaycee was able to play in a tournament with her old comp team this weekend. She loves playing with this team, and what made it even better was that she got to play with Mae and the regulated the backfield! I love watching Jaycee do her thing. They did great, but came up short in the championship game.
Bensen and Viv tried their hand at a lemonade stand, it was a hit! They sold out in a few hours!
We are thinking we will do a few more before summer is over. The kids even pooled their money to buy a lemon juicer.
