Oh my goodness, I can hardly believe my baby boy turned two!
I can't imagine not having this spunky little boy in our family!
Bensen is so much fun! He talks and understands so well. He loves to jump off of everything, and play with his brother and sister. He likes to play with cars, trains, mega blox, tools, and ride his big wheel. He is a pretty picky eater. One day he will eat something great, then the next time I give it to him he wont touch it. Just depends on the day I suppose. When I took him to his two year well check visit they told me he was the calmest two year old they had seen in a long time. He let them weigh him and measure him with no complaint. Then when the Dr. came in she said to me "How are you doing?" I said good, then Bensen asked her "How are you doing?" It was pretty funny. Then when the nurse came and gave him a shot he barely flinched. He is one tough cookie.
Don't get me wrong he is pretty good at throwing a temper, and he has just started screaming for no reason and talking like a baby. Which drives me a little crazy. The other day he threw a paper towel on the ground then pointed at it and screamed. I told him to use his words and he said "I want the paper towel".
Sometimes we will walk Wesley to the bus stop, it is down the street quite a ways. On the way home Bensen asked me what I was doing, I told him I was just going home and he said "Me too!" He has been saying that a lot about different things.
For his Birthday this year we celebrated with the Bailey side the Sunday before his birthday.
I made him an Oreo cake, that I didn't get a picture of, and he opened presents. He had a lot of help opening his gifts. He got a couple of much needed outfits, a big car mat and cars to go with it, a little tool set, a dinosaur, and a mouse catching game.
His birthday was on Tuesday this year. The kids had the day off of school and Mike took the day off from work. We went to the movie grill and watched the Peanuts movie. The kids loved the reclining seats and that they got to eat lunch while we watched. It was quite the experience.
I felt a little bad because we only bought him one thing this year, a electronic white board.
So on the way home we stopped to get him some balloons.
They were a big hit.
They kept him busy for hours.
The following Sunday we had his Borgstrom party. For this party he had peanut butter bars.
At both parties he loved having people sing to him. And both times he was only able to blow out one candle. He had help from Jaycee at the first party and Grandpa at the second.
He got a nice pillow bed from Grandma LouLou, a cute little tool box, mega box, cars, a shirt, bubbles, a Mike doll, a ninja turtle jacket, fruit snacks, and a ten dollar bill!
He made out like a bandit!
We sure love this little boy, he keeps us on our toes and has such a big personality. We are so blessed to have him in our family.
