Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

This year Mike's mom wanted a new family picture, so before our Christmas Eve party we got together and took one. I think it turned out good, and I only had to add one person, and I edited a few others.😉

We love our Christmas traditions. We spend Christmas Eve with the Borgstroms, playing game, eating yummy food and just being together. We wake up at what I think is a reasonable time on Christmas morning, I tell the kids they can't come down until 7:30. We open presents, then we head of to the Baileys for breakfast and presents.

The rest of the day we kind of float around. We usually make it back to the Borgstroms to see what everyone got. Go home and take a nap and we usually play some games later on.

I am so grateful for the Christmas season. December is usually pretty busy with parties and basketball, but we try to take time to teach the kids the reason for the season. I hope some of it sinks in. :)

A little December

Josh and Jetta got married December 1, in the Payson Temple.

Some of us worked on puzzles while others laid around! Jaycee played some basketball. Vivian had her tumbling show at the rec with breakfast with Santa.

I had my 5 shoulder surgery, I got a hemi cap should replacement. Fingers crossed this will be the last one!

 While I was resting Mike took the kids ice skating with his family, they loved it!

November

We had a pretty low key November. Lindsey and Carter got married November 16 in the Brigham City Temple. Not that I got any pictures of them. :) We raked up a lot of pine needles. Vivian submitted a yearbook cover...she didn't get picked. But I loved it!

Halloween

We had Borgstrom's Halloween party, which is always a good  time! My kids love fall traditions.

We wrapped up Fall Sports. Vivian and Bensen did great playing soccer, they both had good little teams! I got to help Amber coach Bensens. Wesley is a champion again! He even got a quarterback sack and a touchdown in the championship game!

We had a fun Halloween, we were Mummy this year, except for the boys, Wesley had a couple different costumes. He was Mario and a Minon. Bensen was Groot.

 

Lake Powell 2023

We found ourselves in Lake Powell for Fall Break! We haven't been in a couple of years, so we were all excited to go. We had several firsts, we went to Page AZ, I've never been to that side of the lake, we also stayed in a house, instead of camping, which we have never done before. All who wanted to, got to try wake surfing, another first! I have to say doing Lake Powell like this was awesome! I loved being able to shower at the end of the day, not sleeping in a sweltering tent was also pretty great, and eating dinner that isn't sandy, very nice! We spent every second in the water, and some of us hiked Lower Antelope canyon, while others fished. We took a little walk to Horseshoe Bend, and stopped off to see the Dam.

We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was a perfect trip!
