Dance and Wesley

Jaycee danced at a couple of old folks homes.  She loves it and has so much fun with her cousins. 

My mom called and wanted pictures for her Christmas tree. So I decided I would take some since they were still dressed up from church and I could take them in front of the tree. Festive like.

As I mentioned in my last post Wesley is impossible when it comes to taking his picture. Here's what I got.

And the best one I was able to get. It could be worse, he could be crying and sad like he is in all of our family photos. Got to love him!

Getting Wesley to cooperate for pictures is a joke. He's not into smiling. Jaycee on the other hand has them perfected. So there is hope for him yet, because Jaycee used to be horrible.

I've been trying to upload pictures for months. I finally have it all figured out. So here are some pictures of October.  Jaycee had her first field trip.  We went to Black Island Farms.  It also just happened to land on Mikes birthday.  

 So happy birthday Mike!

I surprised Mike with a little party at Toads Fun Center.  No kids allowed, we had a blast.  I just have to put it on record that I am the laser tag champion, led my team to victory!

Christmas Already...

I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet.  I'm just planning ahead. :) These next couple of months get crazy, not that's one less thing to think about.
Since I wrote last Mike had a birthday.  Then there was Halloween, which was perfect.  Everything about Halloween was awesome, the weather was especially awesome!
This last week we have all been sick! BOo.  Jaycee hated missing school and church.  Wesley loved having her home.

Welcome Fall

We had an awesome summer, it went by so fast! Jaycee started Preschool on the 30th of August. 

She was so scared the first day, it was cute.  She woke up at 3 in the a.m. and told me she was not going back to sleep because she did not want to go to school.  She loves it now.

Wesley misses her when she is gone.  He is always asking for her.
Wesley turned 2 on the first of October.

  How crazy is that? He is so much fun and we are so blessed to have him.  We celebrated over Conference weekend.  Conference was so good.
Wesley is still sleeping on the floor.  He has done much better the last couple days. Pretty much since his birthday.

For Family Home Evening/Wesley's birthday we went to Toad's fun Center.  That was interesting.  The kids loved the arcade games.  Jaycee and Mike went on the Go-carts, which we had to force Jaycee to go on, in the end she loved it. 

Then we tried to do the indoor mini golf.  Both the kids were afraid of the dark and the weird lights, so we switched for outdoor.  They liked that better. Overall me and Mike decided they weren't old enough to fully enjoy it.  Wesley wouldn't put his ball down so he went around hitting ours or picking it up and handing it to us.  We still had fun.  I told Mike that next time we should do a date night so we could fully enjoy it.  I want to try Laser Tag, Go-carts and maybe hit a bucket of balls. 

We finished the day off with Burger Bar and the park.

My Mom was supposed to go back into the hospital for her last round of chemo a couple of weeks ago.  She has been all sorts of sick so she hasn't made it back in.  We are hoping she can get feeling better so she can continue her treatment. I think they have her scheduled to go in at the end of October.  We're crossing our fingers.

I've also been canning like crazy.

  We've done 5 different kinds of salsa and just plain tomatoes.  It's been interesting.  Every time we eat it I'm afraid we're all going to get botulism.  So far there have been no cases.  Hopefully that continues.  I've enjoyed my garden this year and I'm already look forward to next year.  I've got some different things planned, chili sauce and jalapeno jelly, just to name a few.
I need to remember to post some motor home pictures...next time.

I love fall and I'm looking forward to all that it will bring.

Sleeping on the Floor

We moved Wesley to a toddler bed about a month ago, he did so good so we took the crib down.  Now I find him on the floor all the time...nap time, bed time and in the morning!  At nap time I've just been leaving him because I don't want to wake him, at night I always put him back in bed.  Here he is the first night I found him on the floor...I almost stepped on him!  Scared me.

It's funny for the most part he doesn't leave his room.  He's usually just inside his door.  At least I don't have to constantly take him back to his room. :)

The Doctor

On our way home from California in May Jaycee got sick.  We took her to the Dr. and she had a UTI. While we were there the Dr. asked if we knew Jaycee had a heart murmur.  Which we did, every time we go to someone other then her primary physician they ask us.  Well, this Dr. told us we needed to get it check out and got us an appointment at Primary's for an EKG.  First they did some x-rays.  This is her after the x-rays, not too bad.

Then it was on to the EKG.  That was a little more scary and she hated those stickers they put on her.

That test came back with a "distress" result. (Whatever that means.) So they sent her in to get a echo cardiogram.  Where they pretty much did an ultrasound of the heart.

After that test they came back and said all was normal.  Thank goodness.  They had us a little scared with the last test.  So that was good news.

Here she is not to traumatized.  She was such a trooper.

I had to throw this on in because I thought it was funny.

A month or so after she had these test done we got sent back because her UTI kept coming back. I didn't take any pictures of these test and they were horrible.  She had more x-rays but she had to lay down for these and have the machine go over her.  So that was a little scary.  For the other one they had to give her a catheter.  I had to hold her down and she was screaming at me like I've never heard before.  It was horrible I was holding back tears.  She just kept yelling at me to get my hands off of her. That only lasted about 5 minutes then it was a lot easier. 

Anyway when we got the test results back they were normal!

I am grateful for our insurance and the opportunity we have to go to the Dr. even if my kids are just weird and perfectly healthy. Yeah for healthy kids.

Needless to say I hope we don't have to go back for a long time!
