Memorial Day

We had a great day! It started off with a visit to Great Grandma and Grandpa Allreds house.

 We are so blessed to be able to visit with them.

Me, Bensen and Viv have gone to visit them a few times since they have been in their new place. Every time we go Jaycee and Wesley are sad that they didn't get to come, so they were excited to come this time.

They even treated us to ice cream and cookies.

They sure know how to treat us right!

 After our visit we headed down to Sanpete County to visit some graves, but decided to stop off at the temple first.

 It was fun taking our kids to the place where we were sealed.

 My parents, and both of their parents were also sealed in the Manti Temple.

 On our wedding day me and Mike took a similar picture to this one, it is fun having our kids in this one.

 Our first grave stop was in Ephraim. Here we saw some of our Allred side. Including Ila May who Jaycee and Mae are named for.

 From there we went to Wales and saw some of our Bailey side, who Wesley and Vivian were named after. Next year we will have to go visit the Borgstrom side,  Bensen, Vivian and Wes were also named for people on their side.

 Before we headed home we went up a little canyon in Wales and went shooting.

It really was a great day. It was fun remembering those who have gone before us, I am so grateful for them and their stories. I know I am who I am today because them.

Jam Jam Jam

We were able to get some strawberries pretty cheap from the BDO, so I made jam. Nothing fancy, just followed the instructions from the sure jell packet. But it is yummy!

 I am the messiest cook.  Whenever I make anything my kitchen ends up in a disaster! One of the many reasons I hate cooking. Canning is the worst tho.

I just had to document how messy I am. :)

Happy Birthday Viv!

It is so hard to believe that she is already a year old! How did that happen. It is kind of sad that my baby isn't a little baby any more.

 It is crazy how much they grow and change in one year!

She weighs 20 lbs, 5 oz. for her height and weight it puts her right at about 50% BMI.

 She is such a good baby. She sleeps through the night. She can walk. She took her first couple of steps march 25. She also likes to climb on everything. She loves being outside, eating dirt, mulch and anything else she can find out there.

She pulls the funniest faces!

 She doesn't really say any words. She says mama and dada but not like they mean anything.

She had a temper, if you take something from her she screams. She will yell at the kids, it is pretty cute.

She has her two bottom teeth. The top ones have been trying to come through but haven't made it yet.

She shakes her head yes and no a lot.

She likes books especially the ones she can ripe up!

She loves her daddy.

She is shy. She doesn't love strangers, and even to those she sees all the time it takes her a good while to warm up to them. She can be pretty serious and sometimes she makes you work really hard for a smile.

She is adored by her sister and brothers and extended families. She always has someone to take care of her.

We celebrated her birthday on April 30th at the Bailey's along with Trevor and Branson.Then again on May 7th with Grandma and Grandpa Borgstrom. April is a crazy month for birthdays for us.

We sure love her and we are so glad Heavenly Father sent her to us.
