St. George

Right after we got home from Bear Lake we went to St. George. It has been a crazy couple of weeks.
Our first adventure was the Tuacahn.
This trip was with Mikes family.  His dad rented a really nice 4 bedroom condo, that we could all stay in.
We love going to the Tuacahn. This year we saw Peter Pan. I loved it, Mike did not love it. He would have rather seen Tarzan. He said it was fine tho.
Bensen and Vivian are not quite old enough to go to the play, so they went to showcare.
We found a croc on our way there.
I love that my kids like to go to plays.
After the play they did fireworks and the hill started on fire. They got it put out pretty quick. In talking to Jackie Poll who goes to all the shows, she said that happens quite a bit.
The next day we went and hiked around Pioneer Park. The kids loved it! It was a little hot for me...for them too, it just doesn't bother them like it does me.
I grew up going to St. George several times a year because my Grandma and Grandpa Fox lived there. In all my visits I had never been to Pioneer Park.
There was so much for the kids to explore and climb on.  We will definitley go back hopefully when it is not so hot.
St. George in the summer time is no bueno.
Once again though, the heat didn't seem to bother the kids.`
We were able to hide out in the shade that we could find.

When we decided to go to St. George I started looking up things we could do that I hadn't done before. One of the things I found was Glitter Mountain.
It was a pretty long drive, in the middle of nowhere, but we found it.
Man do we have the treasure to prove it. Mike brought chisels and hammers for the kids and they went at it.
I know I've been complaining about the heat...it was hot! But it was at least 10 degrees hotter in that pit then it was out of it. I could hardly breath. I'm pretty sure it is was hell would feel like.
Now I understand the saying "Hotter then Hades" because I'm pretty sure it was. Even the kids had a hard time here.
It was awesome though, we will go back again sometime...just not in the summer time.
We did try to keep everyone hydrated, and we came home with bags and bags of glitter!
It doesn't get much better then that.
Since we were all so hot and dirty we decided to cool off in the pool.
This pool was amazing! It was huge, and it had cute little splash features which Bensen hated.
I think the kids got in the pool everyday that we were there. I don't know how people could live here in the summer without one!
Like I said, I'm a baby when it comes to the heat.

Growing up, almost everytime we went to St. George my Grandpa Fox would take us to the dinosuar tracks, so we had to go see those!
I am not sure we went to the same ones he would take us too, but these were awesome...mostly because they were in an air conditioned building. :)
The boys especially loved them.  Wesley wanted his picture taken with every track.
Bensen was asleep for the first little bit, but once he woke up he was all about the dinos, and wanted his picture taken also. So we went back through.
I know I say it a lot, but we are so blessed to have our families so close. I love going on vacations with them, and spending time with them. My kids are so lucky to get to grow up with their cousins being some of there best friends.
Cheers for families!

Bear Lake

We were able to go to Bear Lake this week.  Trevor and Katie got a condo for 8 days! We went for the first couple of days. Spencer and Heather came up the same days as us.
We had a blast!
Spencer had brought up his boat, the kids loved the tube!
Me and Viv loved the shade tent. :)
It was really fun just hanging out on the beach.
Bear Lake is such a beautiful lake, and the beach is the best for little kids.
Whitley and Bensen played so well together, which is awesome because they don't usually get along all that well.
The next day we went to Bloomington Lake, which was a totally different kind of beautiful!
Once again me and Viv tried to keep to the shade.
Jaycee and Wesley liked the rope swing.

The water was pretty cold and I think it took them by surprise.  When Wes went off the rope swing I was a little worried I was going to have to go in and save him...but he made it. Thank goodness!
When the kids were done playing in the water we drove back down the canyon a ways and stopped to have a picnic.
It was so pretty everywhere.
I love getting to spend time with my siblings and their families.
I'm so blessed to have them all so close. They really are my most favorite people!
