That's a Wrap

We just wrapped up everyone's Spring season sports. We snuck in the Layton Temple open house between games.
Jaycee had a great season, she was player of the game 3 time! She led er team in assists, and ground balls, second in caused turn overs, and third in goals scored, and made the second team all region!
Wesley had a great season too, with several goals and assists. He sprained his ankle pretty good the day  before is playoff games. They made it to the final 4, they took 3rd.
Bensen had a fun season, he scored 2 goals and did awesome at defense. He is thinking about taking a break from soccer and trying taekwondo.
Viv killed it this year, we lost track of her goals, I think her high for a single game was 5 goals! She also likes playing some defense.
Me and Mike are looking forward to a little break before all the next things get started.
Then on the 23rd it was the last day of school. We said goodbye to 11th, 8th, 4th, and 2nd grades. The kids all did so good in school this year, much better than I ever did! Bensen and Viv were both pretty sad about leaving their teachers. Don't worry, I didn't let Wesley go to school like that. I forgot to take Jaycee and Wesley's pictures before they left, so I took them later that day.

May

Everything is winding down. Everyone finished up School! Jaycee played her last soccer game with her comp team. With how busy she was this spring she decide to not play comp anymore. It was a tuff decision and she is a little sad. Both Jaycee and Wesley finished up lacrosse. I have loved watching them play this year. I really like lacrosse, I wouldn't be sad if they decided to just play lacrosse and not all their other sports. Wesley and Brody did the talent show at Sunset Jr. High, they did the Mario rap.
Bensen had his piano recital, and Narnia Days. Viv is finishing up tumbling and soccer.
Bring on summer!

Mother's Day and Preschool Graduation

In high school I had a coach ask me what I wanted to do after I graduated. I told her the only thing I knew I wanted to do was be a mom. I thank Heavenly Father every night that I get to be a wife, and a mom. I love my kids so much and can't imagine my life without them! It is always nice to see that they like me too! I always love the gifts that they come up with.
I am grateful for my mom and LouAnn. They are both very supportive of my family. You can always count on them. They have a lot going on but they both make time for our family, from ball games to Sunday dinner. We are very blessed to have them in our lives.
Vivian is a preschool graduate! She had so much fun in Miss Mandy's preschool.
She learned so much, and made new friends. She is excited for kindergarten.

Last Day of School

June first was the last day of school for these two! I'm already thinking "What are we going to do all summer?"
The kids loved their teachers this year, and they both grew and learned so much!
We love that the kids get to go to school with their cousins. They are so lucky!
Ok summer, bring it on!

Wesley's Character Report

Wesley had to do a Character Report. Basically he was to summarize a story while making it interesting for the class.
He chose the book "When I Grow Up" by Weird Al.
The kid in the book names like 20 things he wants to be, with every thing he mentioned Wesley had a little prop he could pull out. He taped most of them to his chef jacket.
He did a great job.

First Days Of School

Jaycee went back to school on Monday, August 24.
Her teacher this year is Mrs Broadhead. She seems pretty nice. I think Jaycee is going to love her.
These girls all had different teachers again this year. Last year the twins had Mrs. Broadhead and they loved her!
Here they are just off the bus! The twins were so excited that they had already run into the school.

She is in the same classroom I had when I was in kindergarten. :)
We had a meeting for Wesley this first day. Then he had kindergarten testing on Tuesday.
His first real day of school was today, and he was so excited and ready to go!

Brody and Wes have the same teacher this year, lucky boys...but poor Kayla.  I told the boys they need to take care of her, make sure she has friends to play with at recess and such.
Today they said they couldn't find her. I hope they really couldn't find her, and they weren't just being stinkers! They were supposed to meet at the yellow slide.  Kayla said she waited at the slide and they never showed up! Wesley said they looked for her and couldn't find her anywhere.
Hopefully they do better tomorrow.
