My Amazing Mike

Mike is so good at so many things it's hard to name them all.

I'm going to try to name just  a few of the amazing things he has done this week.  At the top of the list is:
He will clean the stove top for me! I have never had to clean my stove top. And in my oven between the glass some how I dripped something so I had this ugly drip of who knows what, and it had been there for a while.  Yesterday when I got home from a relief society dinner it was clean! I considered this almost a miracle.
He got our old 1975 motor home up and running, and running good at that.
When he is asked to bring treats to work he almost always makes or gets them himself.  He made cookies last night.
He keeps our yard looking so nice!
He is a really good dad and husband and we love him.
Mike really is amazing I'm pretty sure there is nothing that he can't do. We are lucky to have him.

I love you Mikey.

Happy Birthday Jaycee!

Jaycee turned 5 today! Time goes so fast. I must have blinked! Jaycee is so fun, she is always joking and teasing.  She is so good to try new things, this year she tried soccer, tumbling, bike riding, and many more.  She loves swimming, playing with her cousins, going to get the mail, going anywhere especially Grandma's.  I am so grateful to be her mom.
She decided she wanted a rainbow cake, so we made a rainbow cake.  She helped with the colors. We made it the day before so we didn't have too much stress the day of the party.
Birthday morning, somehow she ended up on the floor.
We went to the zoo.
My beautiful babies.,,I am so blessed.
Me and my baby.
The party.
I love her.
The cake.
Jaycee and my parents.
We had a good day, I'm grateful we were able to spend it with our families, we seriously have the best families.  Happy Birthday Jaycee, we love you!

Jaycee

Jaycee started playing soccer on April 17th and she loves it.
Her cousin's Mae and Paige are also on her team. They are pretty funny.
The first game Jaycee did so good, she got in there and really wanted to get the ball.
After that first game she didn't like getting pushed around, which is basically all they do at that age, so she dances around and finds helecopers to throw in the air.  She actually scored in one game...it was for the other team, still pretty exciting.  I asked her if she likes playing and she said yes.  So that's good, even though it is sometimes hard for me to watch.  I am one of those crazy sideline moms.

Jaycee also graduated from preschool on May 9th.
Here is her cute class.
Grandma Carmae and Grandpa Max came.
Grandma LouLou and Grandpa Randy came. And Aunt Sarah came.
Jaycee has turned into a poser. It's hard for to take a picture of her because she doesn't sit still.
She is so funny, she loved school the first couple of months then all of the sudden she didn't want to go anymore.  It was so weird.  She also started getting really bad anxieties. That's another story.  Anyway she liked school after she got there, it was just getting her there. She cried almost ever morning.  Her teacher was so good with her, and she learned so much.

I had a hard time deciding whether to put her into a school. I figured I should be able to help her but she didn't/doesn't listen or respond to me very well.  We frustrate each other. :) I'm so glad I decided to put her in, and she is so excited to go to Kindergarten.  Hopefully that lasts.  A couple of days ago she told me she really wanted to go to her school.  She misses her teacher.  She's so funny.
Anyway, I love my Jaycee.  I feel so grateful and blessed to be her mom, and I am so excited to watch her grow.

Happy Easter

We had a fun Easter Holiday. Hooper City always does a really good Easter egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. They have 4 different age groups. This year Wesley and Jaycee were in different groups so we had to split up. I went with Jaycee and Mike was with Wesley.
Jaycee was not a big fan of Mrs. Easter Bunny. I made her take a picture with her anyway.
Later that day was the Bailey party.  We had potluck and an Easter egg hunt.
All the Bailey cousins (18 and counting) and Grandma Carmae.
Wesley, Brody and Kayla. Or should I say TROUBLE.
Jaycee, Devyn and Mae. More trouble.
Easter morning the kids slept in. It's funny the one or two days a year they should wake up early they sleep in.  Every other day the wake up earlier.  Crazy kids.
The Easter Bunny hides the kids baskets so they have to go around the house searching for them.  This year Wesley's was under the kitchen table and Jaycee's was in the dryer.
Wesley was so happy when he found his basket be actually smiled a real smile for the camera.
Jaycee is always ready for the camera.
Earlier that week me and Jaycee got matching Easter toenails.
 Easter morning before church.
Later in the day we had a party at the Borgstrom's.  I forgot my camera.  We had a yummy ham dinner, another hunt and face painting.
I am so grateful for my Savior and the atonement and for his resurrection. I'm grateful we are able to celebrate his resurrection and ponder on all that he has done for us.
Happy late Easter everyone!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, 30 isn't that bad. This is me turning 30.
We had to take Wes into the Dr. on my birthday then we went and saw "The Lorax" which was pretty cute. Then we went to Zupa's for lunch. Mike made me a Butterfingers cake. He had planned to take me out to dinner and a movie but with the kids being sick we decided to stay home. The Sunday after my birthday my family had a little party for us.  My mom made meatloaf just because she knows I love it. We also had a really good salad and fresh fruit. Mmmm. And cheese cake. Delicious! I love getting together with my family.
After Jaycee threw up we all took our turn. Wesley was next then Mike then me. Jaycee and Mike were bad they were throwing up all night. When me and Wes had it we both only threw up once, still felt crappy all day. I count myself lucky. Now it's spring break and both the kids have a nasty cold. I tell you what, I am done with winter and sick kids!
Jaycee went to the dentist on March 21st. We had to have them knock her out. The last couple of times we tried to take her in she went ballistic! She ended up with 6 silver caps, 4 fillings and 1 root canal! I promise she brushes her teeth everyday and I brush them every night! Yikes. It made me sick to pay so much money for her little baby teeth that are just going to fall out in a couple of years.
Mike's church basketball team were the region champs. He missed the championship game to take me to "The Hunger Games". He is such a good husband.
On April 3 we took the kids to the Washington Terrace Playhouse for FHE to see "Joseph". We were a little worried to take Wesley with us, but he did so good. Sat still and actually liked it. Jaycee has been begging me to get "Joseph" from the library for weeks. So when I saw that it was at the playhouse, in its last week, we decided to go. It was a fun family outing. We will definitely be going to more plays in the future. We are already planning on go to the Toucan to see "Hairspray".  We went last year to Little Mermaid and she loved it.  Wesley was too young so he had to go to their daycare. Hopefully this year he can go with us.
We also all got our haircut that day. We cut quite a bit off of Jaycee's hair. It was over halfway down her back and now it's up to her shoulder.  She told me she wants to cut it as short as her daddy's so she would never have to comb it. I was a little sad to see her cut it.  I always threaten her that if she won't let me comb it I was going to have Jaime cut it. I never thought she would want to cut it. So I guess that back fired on me.  Mike is always telling me not to threaten if I'm not willing to follow through...lesson learned.
It is really cute though and super easy to comb.
Conference was so good and being with Mike's side of the family is always fun. We are excited and ready for Easter.
We dyed some eggs today with some of the cousins. It's so fun to see the kids play together. Wesley and Kayla (Amber's little girl) are so funny. They are both a little crazy, when they get together they are a lot of crazy! Wesley thinks she is so funny, heck, I think she is funny and she is only two. Watching them together is fun.
