Summer!

We love summer! But who doesn't...right.  Jaycee finished first grade on May 30. She had her cute program on the 27.
She worked hard all year! Hopefully we can keep it up this summer.
Jaycee's whole class was so cute. Jaycee had a little crush on the boy in the front row, second from the right.  His name is Kane.  She said she liked him because he is funny.
She was lucky to have Mae in her class this year.
We loved Mrs. Toomey.  She was such a great teacher and the kids loved her. We even got to play soccer against her a couple times.  That was fun.
We were lucky she had such an amazing teacher. You could tell she really loved her kids.
On the 31st we were off to Cedar City, then St. George.  We were supposed to go to Vegas on the 29th to visit Mike's brothers family, but Wesley came down with step on the 28th. Ellie, Colton and Tyson had all had it a couple days before.  Lucky for us, and for Andrews family, any time Wesley has ever had strep his hands break out with a rash, so once I saw it he was on antibiotic.  He didn't even get a sore throat, we caught it so quick. The kids were so sad that we didn't get to go to Vegas we decided to go to Cedar City.  The kids went swimming, we went to a movie, "Sherman and Mr. Peabody" it was pretty funny. We went to a park.

On our way to St. George we stopped and went on a hike in Kanarraville and met up with Amber, Tyson and co.  It was a pretty good hike. It was hot but the kids did so good.
For the first part of the hike we were on a dirt road, then we came upon a creek.  Once we decided it was ok to get our feet wet we had a lot more fun.  And we were much cooler.
Bensen did so good.  He even stayed awake for most of it.  He fell asleep right before we got to the slot cannon, and woke up when we came back out.
It was really a beautiful hike.  When I read reviews on it several people said they had seen rattlesnakes, so I almost decided not to go. Amber talked me into going, she said she has seen rattlesnakes up Waterfall Cannon.  I'm glad I listened to her.  And no we did not see any snakes...thank goodness.
It was right about here that my Dad caught up with us.  We must have been moving pretty slow, because we had a pretty good lead on him.

So Bensen doesn't look thrilled, but he didn't complain at all.  I was a little worried about taking him.  It took us probably about 3 hours round trip.  He was a trooper.
We finally made it to the slot cannon!

 And to the Fall!
This is where we stopped.  As you can see, you can keep going, up to another fall. In the review I read it said it got harder the farther up you go.  So for us this was a good stopping point.

It reminded me of Lake Powell! We haven't been since Jaycee was a baby.  Makes me want to go back.
By the end the kids were pretty worn out.  Mike had to put Wesley on his back a couple times, and a couple of us had blisters from our wet shoes, but it was totally worth it. I think we will definitely go back to this hike.
After our hike we were all ready for a swim.
Well, all except Bensen.  This was his first experience with a pool...he did not love it.
On Sunday we went to the St. George Temple.
Look at all those cute kids!
It was super hot and we were all trying to stay in the shade.

  Bensen loved the Temple too.

We also went to the Brigham Young house and took a tour, then drove out to Gunlock. It was too hot for us to walk across to the dam, so we took the scenic route back to the condo, along with my parents and Trevor's family.  Trevor's car actually got a flat tire just as we got to the lake.  Jaime and Ambers families went across to the dam.  The lake was pretty low.
On Monday we went to Fiesta Fun.  That was fun, and did I mention that it was HOT! It was so hot that we had to go for a swim again when we got back.
Overall, it was an excellent family vacation.
I love my family so much, and I love that we get to spend so much time together.  I wish Joy and Spencer's families could have joined us.
Some people might think it weird that we spend so much time together.  I love it, I can't imagine spending my time with anyone better.
Bring on the summer fun, we are ready!

Happy Easter!

I know I say this every time I post, but time is going by so fast! I'm having a hard time keeping up.  Jaycee is loving soccer, and she is doing so good! It's like night and day from last season.  Abbie, Ellie, Mae, and Paige are all on the team, and they are all doing so good. They only have one boy on their team and he has only played with them half the time.  So they like to do girl power cheers...it's pretty cute.  The other day they played a team of all boys, one of the boys said "Girls are so hard to play!" That made their day.
The house is moving right along. We have some exterior, the brick is finished and they have started the stucco.
We finished up the tile last week.
There was so much tile! Luckily we have amazing families who were a huge help! We couldn't have done it without them.  Well, we could have, but it would have taken a lot longer and it wouldn't look half as good. :)

The finish guy has been there for about a week.  All the door upstairs have been hung, most of the moldings are up.  It's exciting seeing everything come together.
We had such a good Easter. For the week before Easter we found a fun thing in the Friend to try.  We read scriptures about Jesus, and listened to primary songs. Then the kids found the right picture to go along with the story. It was fun, and I think the kids got something out of it...hopefully.
I am so grateful for my Savior, for the atonement, and for the resurrection. There is a video going around called "Because of Him".  It is really good.  Because of Him I can have my family, my freedom, and everything...really.

I'm so grateful for the gospel, and don't want to image my life without it, or without these three. I am so blessed.
 Look at that handsome boy!
The kids had fun with Easter egg hunts, they had three this year.  They are so lucky to have family so close together. I love how much they love each other.
This is the South Weber hunt, with some of the Borgstrom and Bailey cousins.
 The Borgstrom hunt.
 The Bailey hunt.

I don't remember ever getting as much candy as these kids do!  I was telling Mike the other day that when I was a kid we hid boiled eggs, not candy filled eggs, and we loved it.  We would hide them over and over again...I don't remember ever eating the eggs though. :) Know I have to figure out what to do with all this candy, the kids have been bouncing off the walls since Sunday. And it's not doing me any good either!
Happy Easter!

Baby Blessing

Time is going by so fast! Bensen is already almost 7 weeks old! We blessed him last Sunday, March 2. I am so grateful for the priesthood, and the blessing he received that day, and that Mike was able to bless him.
 Bensen with Grandma LouLou.
He is such a good baby. Aunt Jaime is always saying how relaxed and chill he is. He is pretty smiley, the camera just doesn't do his little toothless grin justice.
 Grandma and Grandpa Borgstrom.
Bensen has the best big sister and big brother. They love to hold him and take care of him. There was one day I was going to get in the shower and Wesley told me he would watch Bensen for me.  I told him I was going to put him in his car seat and take him into the bathroom with me. He decided he needed to come too, so he sat in the bathroom and watched him the whole time I was in the shower! Anytime he even moved Wesley was right there to make sure he was ok, or put his binky back in his mouth. It was pretty cute. Jaycee always wants to hold him, first thing when she gets home from school (which I hate! I just imagine her covered in all those elementary school germs!). I do let her hold him, but she has to wash up first.
They sure love him.
Here he is with Grandpa Max and Brody.

 Grandma and Grandpa Bailey.

 Grandma Carmae.
 Me and my Bens.
I loved his little outfit.  I bought his bowtie and suspenders on esty, I found his shirt at Toy r Us, and I made his pants! I found the pants tutorial here. That was actually pretty fun, and put me in the mood to try some other things.  Usually when I sew things they don't turn out like they are supposed to, this time they did! It gave me a little confidence, I'm thinking about making Jaycee a skirt and Wesley some pants. We will see how motivated I stay.
 Bensen and Daddy.
And another shot of his sweet outfit.
He really is a good baby. He sleeps ok for a newborn.  I get up ever 2-4 hours, he does so good, but it usually takes me a good 30 minutes to an hour to get him back to sleep. He's been pretty congested so that doesn't help.
Here is the latest updated picture of the house.  It has windows now, I just haven't taken a picture the last week or so.  We are all getting pretty excited. Mike has been paying the kids when they come and help us clean up. Clean up is one of our sweat equity items. The kids love to help.  It has been pretty fun. Jaycee is saving her money for a kendama. I'm not sure what Wesley is saving up for, but he need $40!

One of the best things about our new house is the backyard! I am looking forward to spending a lot of time back there.
The kids already love playing back there. I can't wait till there is grass, so they aren't always a muddy mess.
For Valentines this year my mom invited all the kids over before school and had a nice Valentines breakfast.  Then around 4 we went to Chuck-a-Rama with Mikes family. After that Jaycee and Wesley went to Sarah's house to play, while me, Mike and Bensen watched TV.  Romantic huh? It was nice to just relax. With having a new baby we don't get out much.
The kids both fight over who gets to shower with Bensen, so this night they all got in their swim suits and went swimming in Grandma LouLou's bathtub.
Problem solved.

I know Bensen doesn't look thrilled, but I'm sure he liked it.

I know Jaycee and Wesley loved it. They have begged me every night to do it again.
Jaycee lost another tooth. She had a loose tooth for a while.  I was teasing her that if she pulled her tooth out she would have more money for her kendama. About two minutes later she came out of the bathroom holding her tooth...I guess she really wants that kendama!
I signed Jaycee up for spring soccer.  She is pretty excited to start playing again. Wesley has been saying he wants to try tumbling again, so I think I'm going to let him try.  Last time he tried he liked it for about 2 weeks, then it was too hard.  He does not want to do soccer again.
I started to play soccer again four weeks after Bensen was born. I missed it a lot! I had a pretty rocky start, I felt like by body was betraying me...not doing what I wanted it to.   I've only fell on my butt once, so I guess it's not too bad. It will be nice when I get into better shape and my body will do what I tell it to.
We are all so excited for warm weather.  It has been so nice out (when it's not raining) we have loved going on walks and riding bikes and just being able to send the kids out back to play.
Come on Spring. We are ready!
