February Hikes with Mike

February hikes with Mike. We only got in one hike this month. Farmington Canyon was beautiful! I really enjoyed this hike. Another good thing about hiking in the winter is no snakes and no bugs!
Also I made this sweater and sent it Syd on her mission in Ohio for Christmas. I forgot to take a picture, she was nice enough to send me one.

January's Hikes with Mike

Januarys Friday hikes with Mike…and occasionally Jaime, Abbie and Ellie 🙂 I have decided I like hiking in the winter better than in the summer. I love not being too hot! I love seeing everything frozen! The trails are never crowded. Win, win, win, win….

Flagstaff

Since we were in Flagstaff we decided to make a little trip out of it. What is a trip with out a little hiking. Our first hike on our first day there we went to Walnut Canyon national monument.
It was pretty amazing with the ruins built right into the cliffs.

On our way home after the wedding we stopped at Wupatki national monument. These were also pretty awesome!

Our last stop was at the Grand Canyon, Desert Tower. We have always talked about going to the Grand Canyon...now we have. Jaycee says we should do the Rim to Rim hike. I am pretty sure my knees would not make it.

It was so fun celebrating Parson and Emma, and it was nice that we could get out and enjoy some of what Arizona had to offer. It was beautiful, and did not disappoint!
