California Trip Day 2-Battery Point Light House, Jedidiah Smith Redwood State Park, Tree's of Mystery and Fern Canyon

We got up early (before 7) had breakfast at the hotel, then went to Battery Point Lighthouse. We met up with Mikes parents at the hotel.
It was pretty neat. Supposedly the first lighthouse in California.
Bensen didn't like getting his picture taken.

We found a lot of seashells and crabs.

Then we met up with Emily and Josh and went to the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
We were amazed at all the giant trees. We stopped at the Stout Memorial Grove trail.
The kids loved it!
They were all over the place, climbing on everything.

From there we drove to the Tree's of Mystery. With a small beach stop on the way.

This was a great stop!
We saw a lot of different trees.

We rode the Sky rail. Which the kids love loved it!
The kids loved the Pooped Logger.

After that we drove to Fern Canyon.
 Again, the kids loved it!
We hiked up a little stream and there were ferns growing off of the walls.
We made them turn around before we got to the end, they were pretty bummed. But we were hoping to get back and do some things before we went to our hotel.
See the next post for the rest of our day. :)
