Sweet Viv

Vivian is 7 months old! We all just love her to pieces.  I am always amazed at how much the other kids love her and take care of her.  She is one lucky girl.

 She is army crawling all over the place. She definitely gets around!

 She is such a good baby. Jaycee and Wesley have been playing basketball and she is always so good at the games.  People are constantly amazed at how good she is. Not just at basketball games, anywhere we go, church, stores, hikes.  She is a good sport.

 She mostly eats table foods.  Most of the baby food I try to give her she refuses to eat. Her favorites are yogurt and bread.

 She is still a little sick, I swear she has had a cold for months. Just when I think she is getting over it, it gets worse! 

 So with her being sick she hasn't been sleeping all that well. She's been waking up every one in a half to two hours. I've been making her wait at least 3 hours to eat. So we've been doing a lot of rocking, or me leaning over her crib trying to get her back to sleep.

Poor baby, it is hard to sleep when you can't breath!

She likes to sleep with her blanket or bunny by her face, with a binky.  She sleeps in her crib unless I have to get up with her when Mike has already gone to work, then she gets to come in my bed.

She is so good to play with toys. She growls like a little monster, it is so cute. She used to get scared of certain people, but not so much anymore. She likes to play Peekaboo. She likes to be held and talked to. 

We sure love our sweet Viv!

Thanksgiving and Stuff

Happy Thanksgiving! 

 We kept with tradition and the kids wrote down daily what they were thankful for. We did miss a few days, but that's ok. Some of the things they wrote were bodies, temples, families, cousins, tree, teacher, Jesus, house, bones, blood, and many more. Almost every night Bensen was thankful for Vivian, mom, or dad.

 It was nice to see that they are thankful for things, because they don't always show it. We try to teach them how lucky we are to live here in South Weber, so close to family, in a nice warm house, with plenty of food to eat, and to have to gospel in our lives.

This year we spent the day with the Borgstroms. Dinner was amazing! Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, salad, the green onion things Mike loves, green jello salad that Mikes great grandma would make, yams, green bean casserole, roles, and pie...lots of pie, and I am sure there is more that I am forgetting.

I am thankful for so many things. Most of all my Mike and my kids. I love being so close to both of our families and I love them and am thankful for them. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ, for the atonement, for the opportunity to repent and try again, for the Gospel.

I am thankful for this country that I live in and the freedoms that I enjoy. This year was an election year. And it was crazy. Some how we ended up with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as our main candidates, which still blows my mind. It was scary thinking that one of them will eventually run our country. Trump won out in the end. I'm not going to lie, I am a little nervous about the future of our county. Things have gotten pretty bad with Obama in I pray that Trump wont make it worse and hopefully makes it better. Time will tell. These are crazy times we are living in.

Anyway, happy Thanksgiving!

Reese got Baptized

Reese got baptized on November 5th. 

 I don't think I have mentions this before, but Sarah and Todd are going through a divorce right now. Divorce can make things like baptisms kind of tricky.

 Some of us were a little nervous about how things would play out, but everyone was able to put their differences aside and get along, which made this a perfect day!

 Reese is such a cute girl. She is sweet and kind, a good sister and friend.

We are so grateful for her example to us and we sure love having her in our family.

Trick or Treating

We had a great time trick or treating this year!

 We started out at my moms house and worked our way down to the park, then back down the rest of 8100.

 Then we went around in Peachwood, then all the way to Kim and Susan Westbrooks house, and ended up back at our house.

 They were hard core this year. Even Bensen and Viv lasted all night. And they got so much candy! What do we do with it all???

 When we passed our house to go to our little street Mike refilled the candy bowl on our porch. When we got back home, maybe 10 to 15 minutes later someone had emptied the bowl and smashed our pumpkins! Hoodlums!

As the kids were sorting through their candy Vivian figured out how to scoot around. It wasn't quite an army crawl. It was super cute, she really wanted that candy.

Borgstrom Halloween Party

Our Borgstrom party was on the 29th this year.

I really love that we get to celebrate holidays with family, and that everyone is participates and is involved. We really have amazing families.

 This year the kids started off with BINGO.

 Once everyone was there and ready we took some pictures.

 We sure have a good looking bunch of kids!

 After pictures we went in to eat. There was bread bowls that looked like pumpkins, chili, and mummy sandwiches.

 After dinner the kids decorated cookies. Bensen especially liked that activity. They played a few other fun games.

Not only am I glad that my kids continue to humor me and let us do family costumes I am so lucky that Mike is always a good sport and dresses up with me every year, no complaints. He has not once ever told to me that he would not wear whatever I wanted him too.

He's amazing!
