Happy Easter

Grandma got a new bike, the little kids love riding on the back with Grandma!
We love the chance to celebrate Easter! This year thing were much more busy then last year. One of the good things about Covid were that we were able to focus more and spend more time together studying about Jesus. This year things were back to mostly normal. So we didn't have as much time together because of basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and church class activities. But were were able to talk about our favorite scriptures about Jesus and hang them from a branch of our peach tree. We also followed along with the Come Follow Me.
I sure love this family of mine, I am so grateful that because Jesus Christ we can be together forever!

Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned 39! I remember 40 being old, I don't feel old. I had a great day! It started off with a strawberry fritter and  hash browns from Sill's. After breakfast I got in the bathtub and relaxed for a bit. Then we headed to Logan for Wesley's first Lacrosse game. He didn't get a lot of minutes in the game, but I think he did pretty good in the time he got!
Later we went to Tucanos Brazilian Grill with Amber, Tyson, and my parents. It was delicious! Then we went over to Amber and Tyson's and played a couple of board games.
It was a great day!
My family is so sweet and made me feel so special!
I got love notes from Bensen and Vivian, candy from Jaycee and Wesley, and Mike got me rollerblades, geekbits for my quacks game, and a windchime that I love!
It really was a great day!

First Family Ski Day

Mike has taken Jaycee and Wesley skiing a few time this year on our get out passes. They have loved it! Our neighbors the Ulrich's told Mike that you can get cheap tickets at Nordic Valley if you purchase them online in advance. So we got tickets for $19. In hind sight we shouldn't have bought me a ticket, because me and Mike didn't ski at the same time.
Mike took everyone but Viv up at 10. He worked with Bensen while Jaycee and Wesley went off by themselves. Me and Viv came up a little later, Viv went to school for an hour. I picked her up, stopped at Burger King and headed up to Nordic. When I got there Bensen thought he was done! After lunch we got him going again. Both me and Mike spent some time with Bensen and Vivian. Mike did a good job with Bensen, he was doing so good! After a bit Mike even got Bensen on the lift! He didn't love that! Then Mike went and skied with Jaycee and Wesley for a little while. Vivian was loving it, and would have continued to go all night! Bensen was done though, after every run he wanted to go back to the car to get a drink. Which is no easy feat, especially with two kids in ski boots. We went back to the car around 2:30, Mike came down and switched me and I took 1 run!
It was my first time skiing in about 20 years! I'm not going to lie, I was pretty nervous. I don't even have a ski coat! Lucky for me it was pretty warm and my hoodie worked just fine. Getting on the lift was fine, I couldn't remember how to get off. It all worked out, and we were off.
We got to a point where we could continue down the mountain or head over to the new lift that takes you to the top of the mountain. I tried to convince the kids we should just continue down, my legs and feet were dying, but Wesley really wanted to go to the new lift. We headed that way. I was so slow, and I would pull off to the side to let all the crazy good little kids fly past me! We made it to the new lift, it is a big 6 seater. Once we get sitting down Wesley tried to scoot over a little closer to me and some how it pulled him down, so I was holding onto him telling him to pull himself up, which he obviously couldn't do with his ski's and boots on. So I told him we were going to drop him once we got to the lowest spot. He was only hanging for a couple of seconds then I threw him off, it was about 8 feet high or so. I yelled to him that we would wait for him at the top. I was pretty worried that he wouldn't get back on, especially by himself, but he did! He is a trooper. We were having fun slowly making our way down, Wesley was messing around and somehow hit himself in the face with his pole!
It was an eventful last run! Mike was surprised at all our excitement. He said he had them all day and no one got hurt! All in all we had a good time. I would go back, it would be nice to ski with Mike.
We ended the day watching the Jazz game. It was a good day.

Sunday Hike

First off I got a new ministering partner, me and Jaycee got paired up. That should be fun, I am sad to not be with Sarah anymore though.
Amber invited us on a hike today. I was a little worried about it being a muddy mess, but Amber had hiked it a couple days earlier and said it would be great. No snow shoes necessary and no mud.
We had a great time, it was a little chilly at first, once we got going up hill everyone warmed up.
I think the trail was Art Nord, but I am not sure. It is up where we go mountain biking. Everyone had a good time except for Wesley. I think he must have gotten wet at the beginning of the hike so he was pretty miserable and he said his back hurt.
We love spending time with our families especially outside!

January

Me and Mike celebrated our Anniversary with the kids, with Costa Vida for dinner with fancy glasses for our beverages!
Then we watched a romantic Jazz game.
These two girls are the cutest! Jaycee is the best big sister and Vivian is usually glued to her side...or on top of her.
Wesley was ordained to a deacon.

Bensen had a birthday! The big 7!
We gathered up all of our change, and sorted it, thanks to Wesley's money sorter, to go to Nickelcade.

But first, food! He chose Pizza Pie Cafe.
On Sunday we celebrated with our extended families, Bensen requested a Thor rainbow cake.

We had a snow day!
