More Summer Fun!

Happy 4th of July!

We got up early and went to hike The Windcaves in Logan canyon.

 Amber is taking the girls here for girls camp and wanted to check it out.

 It was pretty steep, but most the kids did good. No blisters this time.

 You can't tell from this picture, but right before it Bensen almost ran off a cliff! Talk about adrenaline rush! I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my butt stopping him! Between me and Tyson the crisis was averted.

 After our hike we went up to Tony's Grove. We were going to get in the little lake. We got out of the car...then right back in because it was too cold!

Then we headed up to Bear Lake to help with the cabin, and eat ice cream.

 I feel so blessed to live in America! And I am grateful for those who serve our county in the Armed Forces. We are truly blessed!

On the 5th we headed back up to spend some time with Mikes parents.

I guess we should have called first, because they weren't there!

 We stayed and the kids played in the river.

A couple of hours later Mikes parents came back, and we played a card game.

We found out that Mikes cousin Chrisy had passed away. She had breast cancer and bone disease.

 We had such a fun week we decided we would work this week.

On Monday we started out helping Spencer tape his basement to get ready for paint.

Amber was working on the outside of her house so we ran up there to see how it was going and ended up helping her a little too.

On Thursday we went and helped Joy with her Pool Krete. That was interesting. Probably not something we are qualified to do!

 On Friday we headed back up to Bear Lake to work on the cabin.

 The kids begged to go to the lake. It had been pretty cold and I really didn't want to take them. Lucky for them it warmed up quite a bit when we got there and the kids enjoyed the beach for a while.

 By the end of the weekend they had one side of the roof on, ready for tin!

 When we got home Saturday night we made a casserole for Parsons farewell.

The summer has been so crazy so far! We are cramming a lot into it, and it is going by so fast!

Summer Fun!

Wesley found this giant slug in the backyard! Yuck!

 Me and Amber took the kids up to hike the Green Pond Trail. I don't think we have ever made it to the Green Pond, but the kids love this hike.

 Vivian kept saying her feet hurt. I made her walk most of the trail. When we got home and took her shoes off she had blisters on her heels.

Bad mom award here!

 Jaycee got braces!

 Mikes parents went up Monte Cristo camping. We went up and spent the day with them a couple of times.

 Bensen tried to bring his rock collection home. As he went to get more to put in the car I threw some out! We still ended up with a lot of rocks...and a bag of moss!

 On July 2 we took the kids to the Motervu Drive-in to see Toy Story 4 and Secret Life of Pets 2.

 On the 3rd we went and saw Grandma Allred. She was in a great mood and was teasing the kids.

On the way down Vivi  got car sick and puked just as we got there. Luckily for me she kept most of it in her mouth until I was able to pull her out of the car.

After Grandmas we went to Funtopia in Lehi. This is on the Get Out Pass the kids got for Christmas. They loved it!

 Since we were all the way down that way we decided to go to a trampoline place that is also on the Pass.

 It was a busy week, and it's not over yet!
