Happy Birthday Wesley!

Wesley is 4! I can hardly believe it.

 We are so lucky to have him in our family. He will always be my miracle baby. He had a rough start, but he's been going strong ever since. Wesley is turning into a pretty big tease, just like Jaycee. It takes him a while to warm up to people. He is pretty shy. He does seem to be getting less shy as he gets older. Wesley loves to ride his bike, play with bugs,  color and cut everything. Oh, and he loves to read books, and play with his cousins. He is so smart. He loves to help everybody, with anything.  If he sees someone working he is right there asking if he can help. It's so cute.

Wesley got two parties this year. Since we don't have a house of our own we did a Bailey party at my parents and a Borgstrom party at Mikes parents. We did his party on Sunday, September 29th.

 He is so lucky to have such good friends on both sides of the family.  We love our cousins. :)

 He got almost everything he asked for. He wanted blue skates and a blue jump rope and a little pumpkin.  His skates are red and black, and he didn't get a pumpkin. But Aunt Heather did give him one a couple days before his birthday.

 On his birthday, the one thing he wanted to do was go to the park. So we picked up some friends and went to not one, but two parks. They had a blast!

 Later we went and picked Jaycee up from school and went to Toads Fun Center.

 Wesley was big enough this time to ride on the Go Carts. Both the kids loved mini golf.

 This was probably the fastest game of mini golf ever!

 The kids loved it, and really they did pretty good.

 

For FHE this week we went for a hike up at Snow Basin.

 The kids did so good.

 I love the fall. I love the weather, the colors, the food. Really there isn't a better season.

 Jaycee is so silly, it is getting hard to get a real picture of her, she is always pulling some funny face.

 My sister in law Emily pointed out that she hadn't seen any pregnant pictures of me, probably because we don't have any.  So here's one. Six months and counting.

We are so blessed to have these two in our lives, and we are so excited to bring another into the family. We had our big ultrasound in September, everything looked good and was within normal limits. :)

We haven't decided on a name yet, but I think we have narrowed it down to Bensen, Thomas, Brigham or James. Coming up with a name is so hard!

School!

Wow, summer is over! Sad. We had so much fun, I can't complain. In the last couple of weeks we had a Borgstrom Family reunion, and went camping a couple of times. Once to Coalville, and then to Anderson Cove.

Our reunion this year was on Saturday, August 17.  Here is a group picture.

 Every year we try to make something for the reunion. Mike comes up with really brilliant ideas, then I get to create them. He is the brains behind everything.

This is a picture of Mikes Great Grands and family. This is the family "Saving Private Ryan" was based on.  5 went to WWII and only on came back, Mikes Grandpa.  There is a monument in Tremonton that President Monson dedicated.

 I wish I had taken pictures of them before I wrapped them up and sold them. Opps.

Here are the cute Borgstrom cousins minus Logan and Quentin.

 I love getting together with family.  We went to the Brigham City Community pool and park. It really was a lot of fun. Andrew and Cheryl even made it down for the reunion.

The next day we headed off to Coalville for some camping.

We bought the kids new fishing poles.  They loved them.

 Wesley just wanted to catch crawdads with his pole.

 Jaycee loved fishing! She didn't want to give up until she had caught a fish to eat! Lucky for me she didn't end up catching anything.  In this pond they can't use bait, so she was fishing with just a hook.

 She loved it. 

 We had a fun week with Andrew and Cheryl being here.  The kids loved having their cousins here to play with.

The next weekend we went with my family to Anderson Cove up at Pineview. My dad even patched up the old water weenie!  On Friday, it was a little stormy so we had the lake to ourselves.  Parson and Tyson got to try shore starting!  Amber and Spencer skied, and Amber wake boarded! We haven't done that for a long time.  We usually just tub.  Not very often are you the only boat and have such good water conditions at Pineview. It was pretty awesome.  I was a little jealous that I couldn't try.

On Saturday everyone (young and old) rode the water weenie!  Spencer, Tyson, Amber and Jaime had the first ride, insisting they need to show the little kids how it was done.  It looked so fun.  I have a lot of good memories of being out in the water on the water weenie.  My dad dumped them a couple of times, then it was the kids turn.  He drove much more gently for them.  I did finally talk him into dumping them.  It was the softest fall I have ever seen...my dad has some major skills! I even ended up riding with Wesley. He liked it!

A big storm blew in around 5.  We were all safe in our campers or trailers, except Amber and my Dad.  They got stuck in the storm getting the boat out. Amber said the waves were up to her chest. She had to help some people get their boat on, the waves had broke their trailer!  Once again my dad has mad skills and was able to make a perfect landing even with the storm.  We had a great time.

On Monday the 26th, Jaycee started first grade!  She was pretty excited, and shed no tears.  And she loves her Hello Kitty backpack.

 It is so weird having her gone all day.  Wesley asks everyday if he gets to go to school too.  Poor guy still has two years!  I think he will like being home better once Bear gets here. That's what he told me he is going to call the baby. 

 Mae is in Jaycee's class this year. I'm glad they have each other.

 They even get to sit kind of close...their teacher, Mrs Toomey, says maybe a little to close. :)

 When we went to get Jaycee off the bus on Tuesday Wesley found some friends.  He had both of his hands full of them! He brought them home and played with them for days...I'm pretty sure none of them survived. :( But, it was fun while it lasted.

 Jaycee loved playing with them also, but she would only touch their shells. She spent most of her time lining them up.  They would move a little and she would line them up another way.  She lines everything up. It's kind of funny.

 Oh to be young again. 

 While Jaycee was lining them up Wesley was carrying one around putting it on everything.  The rock, the bricks, in that little bird cage, on the solar lights.  They are both so different.

 Both are so cute! I'm a pretty luck Mom.

 

Now we are trying to get back in the school routine.  Waking up early, reading, homework, and going to bed early. Here's to an awesome school year!

Camping and What Not

July has been so hot! I brought some raspberries with me from my old house and they are dying! I am so sad. I loved my raspberries. I decided to transplant them at Amber's new house. There they will get hit by her sprinklers. I wasn't doing a very good job watering them. So hopefully they survive. I know transplanting in the middle of the summer probably isn't a good idea.
We helped Amber and Tyson move into there new house, Mike helped them tile and tear out a wall, and I helped paint and watched kids. Jaime and Matt's house in under contract, they have to be out by the 14th of August. And they have the house across the street from Amber's new house under contract. So they will be neighbors, and my mom is only two doors down. When we finally get our house built we will all be in the same ward! How crazy is that. Sarah, Mikes sister, will also be in our ward.
Right now our lot is not much to look at.  Mike bought a chain saw so we could get rid of this beauty! So if anyone is in need of firewood, we have some! The boat is not ours,  it is just resting on our lot.

This is Mikes Grandpa Fowles house, which will soon be Sarah and Todd's house.  Mikes Dad, Sarah and Todd, and Mike have done so much work to the outside. We all did a lot of work before the road went in, but they have put so much time into painting it, it is now a brown, with a darker brown trim. I need to take a picture, it looks so good.  They trimmed all the bushes moved a lot of crap that was all over. Tore down the deck. Now if they could just get to the inside...

We are so excited. There is about 20 feet behind the trees that will be ours also.

We have had several meeting with the guys building our house. I think we have finally got the plan right. He will hopefully be able to tell the price in the next couple of days. Then according to the price we will start in the fall or spring.

 

We have been on a few camping trips. We went back to Lagoon, the kids love camping there. I did take pictures, but Wesley erased them all before I could take them off. Wesley has come along way, he now likes Bombora. Our first trip he didn't want to ride anything. This last week we went to a Camper World in Coalville.  We had fun. On the first night we found the kids asleep like this.

 

So cute. I love how much they love each other. We took the kids swimming, they are both little fishes. Jaycee is doing so good swimming. Every time we go swimming Jaycee is practicing, and she is getting so good. The other day she was even diving for things. They had a little pond so the kids got to try fishing, we didn't put a hook on the line, just in case they got lucky enough to actually catch something. Neither of us would have any idea what to do with a fish.  If we go again we need to get the kids a better fishing pole.  The ones we had were too hard for them to use. Mikes parent came up for the day on Saturday and took the kids fishing again, this time they had a hook on the line. We also played games, Candyland, Uno and Pass the Pig.  Jaycee loves to play game. She doesn't even mind losing, because that means we get to play again.

Just as we were getting ready to leave Mike noticed this little bird sitting on the back bumper. I had the kids come out to look at it, and it just sat there. Even as Wesley tried to grab it. So I picked it up with a stick and took it over to the Camp Manager.  He told us it was a baby woodpecker.

So then I held it (now that I knew it wasn't going to attack me).Wesley dared to touch the bird, Jaycee looked really close, and put her hands under it. :) She is scared of all animals...even baby animals.

We had a really great trip. I hope the kids will remember these times we spend together camping.  My family went to Lake Powell every year and I have very fond memories of that.

 

Here is a picture of my last ultrasound, the baby is waving hello. I have been feeling pretty good. I get sick right after I eat...so I just keep eating. :)

The other day we were down at Sarah and Todd's. Wesley was holding my hand, and out of the blue he said to me "I love you Mom." It was so sweet. I think that was the first time he has said that without me saying I loved him first. He's said it a couple times since. It's so cute, such good mommy moments.

We went to the drive in this month, the kids loved it. We went to Chili's and got take out then headed over to the theater.  We saw Monsters University and Epic. I thought both were good movies. Wesley actually stayed awake through both movies and the ride home!

Lately Jaycee has been afraid of everything, it is pretty frustrating for both of us.  She got stung by a bee the other day, and now she almost refuses to go outside. She's scared at night, because of the monsters.  It doesn't matter how many times I tell her there is no such thing as monsters. It's crazy, she will ride any ride at Lagoon, she volunteered today to say the prayer in front of entire primary and young men.  She didn't even ask for help.

She doesn't like to be alone.

During preschool she had some major anxieties and I started using essential oils to help her. This summer I have not done a very good job of putting it on her.  I started again tonight, and will continue everyday and hope that it helps her. I can't imagine being afraid all the time. I found a recipe for peaceful child and that is what I will be putting on her. Hopefully by the time school starts she will be back to her brave self.

June Recap

June recap: Jaycee graduated from kindergarten! We camped at Lagoon.  Jaycee turned 6! Went to Pineview with my family. And found out we are pregnant!

I'll start with Jaycee graduating from kindergarten.

Is kindergarten the only grade they graduate from, or do they graduate every year? They had a really cute program. We are proud of her. She worked really hard, I know it was hard for her to change schools mid year, but she did so good.

On Thursday June 13th we went and camped at Lagoon for two nights for Jaycee's birthday. All but one of her Bailey cousins came. She had a blast riding the rides with her cousins. They stayed out late and had so much fun!

 

 

 

 

We had her actual Bailey party Thursday night. We had Doritos salads and a Strawberry Danish dessert cake or chocolate cupcakes.

Jaycee said her favorite part was riding the White Roller coaster at night time.

This year for her homemade gift I made her bunny slippers.

On Friday the kids got my dad to go on all the rides. He didn't even get sick. Here he is, his first time on Wicked with some of Jaime's kids.  He said he liked it!

We had so much fun we are planning on going back in July.

Jaycee's real birthday was on Saturday, we didn't really do anything, except try to recover from our camping trip.  Then on Sunday she had her Borgstrom party.

Grandma LouLou made her this pillowcase dress.

She got a lot of great gifts.

Grandma LouLou made her a really yummy ice cream cake.  It was so good.

So now we have a 6 year old.

Jaycee loves to write and do math. (her words, not mine)

She loves to play in the water, to tease, ride her bike. She likes to play with her poly pockets and her Barbies. She likes to draw pictures and make books. She love loves Lagoon and riding all the rides.  She is so great and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

 

This last weekend my family went up to Pineview to camp. The kids had a lot of fun.  Jaycee loves riding in the tube and swimming.(Even though it was windy and cold.) Wesley and me rode the tube once, I had to make him get out there, and once grandpa got the right speed (slower then slow) he liked it.  He mostly likes to stay on the shore and play in the sand.  He would dig holes, fill them with water, and then use them as sinks. He would put sand allover his arms and legs them wash them in the muddy holes he had dug.  This kept him busy for awhile.

The kids had so much fun, hopefully next time we go it will be a little warmer.  Our next camp over is scheduled for August. I'm sure it will be warmer then.

 

And last, we found out I am pregnant! We actually found out in May, but we didn't get an ultrasound until June 11th.  I had another ultrasound done yesterday and everything looks good.  The baby was measuring at 9 week and 4 days.  We have been trying for a little over two and a half years, we are  so excited and feel so blessed to be able to add to our family.  I have been pretty sick and the last couple of days have been the worst! I keep reminding myself it is all worth it.  I don't remember it being this bad with the others. Maybe it was and the Lord helped me to forget. I've heard it's gets worse the older you are...I guess I am getting pretty old.  So all of our camping trips have not been much fun for me, or Mike, because he has to do everything! I am so blessed to have him!  Lucky for me he works from home, so he makes breakfast, lunch and dinner.  He cleans the house and does the laundry, the shopping, and pretty much all of the taking care of the kids.  He is pretty amazing, and I love him!
