Happy Birthday Wesley!

Wesley had his first friend party. He chose to go to The Rush.

They played laser tag, climbed walls, jumped into pits and bounce houses.

 Then we went to bumper cars and go carts.

 We played Astro Blasters then some more laser tag. They were having so much fun they didn't want to leave!

But our time was up. So we headed to the nearest park to have pizza, cake and open presents.

 Overall I think the party was a success!

On Sunday we celebrated at the Borgstroms. Wesley requested pumpkin bars for his cake.

His birthday was on Monday. After school he opened his presents then he chose to go to Chuck-a-Rama for dinner.

Wes is very stubborn! He doesn't love giving hugs or saying he loves you, but when he's not thinking about he likes to snuggle up next to you. He likes Lego's, building anything really, riding his bike, and playing on the iPad and Wii U. He is very smart and does really good in school. He likes art, drawing, painting, and coloring. He's pretty awesome and we sure love him.

Trevor and Katie are Building a Cabin!

Trevor and Katie bought some land a couple of years ago.

They poured the foundation last year.

This year they got logs! It's been pretty exciting!

 The kids love to go up and "help".

 Mike has gone up a couple of weekends to help out.

 It has been pretty fun seeing it all come together.

I can only imagine how fun it is for them to see it all come together.

Vivian loves it up there too!

It is fun getting to work together, but it will be nice when we can just go up and relax and enjoy that beautiful view!

Back to School

Can I just say that I was so ready for school to start this year!

We have had a jam packed summer with a lot of fun trips, but there has also been a lot of fighting.

 Not that going to school will stop them from fighting, but at least it wont be all day. 😉

My mom did her pancake breakfast for the kids.

 It is so fun that they kids have so many cousins that go to the same school!

 This year Wesley and Brody are in the same class. There teacher is Mrs Sheffield. She is going to let them sit where ever they want. Wes thinks that is pretty cool.

 Jaycee was pretty nervous. Her teacher is Miss Fotheringham. She is a brand new teacher this year.

I think they will both have a great year!

Lake Powell 2018!

We made it back to Lake Powell this year! We went back and forth trying to figure out a week to go. We ended up going at the beginning of  August.

It was HOT!

We survived the heat by living in the water.

We jumped cliffs, and went for rides.

The water level was about 30 feet lower this year from last year.

Vivian loved it even more this year then she did last year.

Seriously the kids lived in the water!

Bensen was the only one that wanted to come home early. He said he wanted to play the Wii. He's got a problem. 😊

Jaycee learned to ski this year! And she almost got up on the wake board. She'll get it next year. Wesley and Kayla both almost got up, I think it scared them that they popped right up.

Wesley caught a couple of fish, then he had no idea what to do with them. Neither did me or Mike luckily Tyson did and he helped him.

We had great weather. The last night the wind kicked up for about 20 minutes, just long enough for us to get all the shade tent and everything down. Then it calmed back down.
