Happy Halloween!

Finally! 

 Grandma LouLou usually does her Halloween party on Halloween, this year was no different, except that Miriam and Quentin were here this year!

 The kids have never had Halloween with them before so they loved it.

We almost got a picture of all the Borgstrom cousins, we are missing Marlee this year.

 For the party we had pizza and put together a foam puzzle of sorts. 

 The kids, and some adult, got to throw darts at balloons and win prizes. They also played the doughnut game.

 Then they went Trick or Treating.  I was going to go answer the door at my house, but there were hardly any kids by my house. So I took my candy over to my Moms and she handed it out for me.  She always has a lot of trick or treaters.

 The kids got sooo much candy this year!

 They even had several people give them full size candy bars.

 Bensen didn't last as long as the older kids, but he still made out with a lot of candy!

I always love Halloween even though I was sick this year I still had a lot of fun.

More Halloween Fun

 For FHE the Monday before Halloween we decided to carve our pumpkins...the pumpkins out of our garden!

 Wesley started asking to carve them at the beginning of October. I kept telling him they would be really gross by Halloween if we carved them that early.

Bensen wanted in on the fun so he started off with coloring his pumpkin.

 That didn't last very long.  Once he saw what the older two were doing he wanted in on the fun.

 So he had fun poking holes in every body's pumpkins!

 It kept him entertained for a long time.

 They all did such a great job! 

I sure love these kids of mine.

 A couple days later we had our ward Halloween party. 

 There were a lot of yummy soups to chose from, salad, rolls and doughnuts. Yum. Then the kids got to go play games that the youth were running. They had all sorts of fun games set up for them.  The kids loved it!

 Then on Thursday the younger kids got to do a costume parade.

Brody even wore his skeleton costume.

 Wesley forgot to put his jacket on so he looks like a half skeleton...oh well, he had fun.

After the parade I got to go back to Wesley's class and help with their Halloween party! I played charades with the kids. It was fun, the kids were pretty creative.

Ok, know I'm ready for Halloween. :)

Bailey Halloween Party

We had our annual Halloween party at Joys house this year.

 We recycled our old skeleton costumes this year, like I've said in posts before I don't have much energy these days, so it was nice Wesley wanted to be a skeleton. Jaycee rebelled this year, she was a witch, but she let me put bones on her belt and she had a skeleton neckless and she carried around a skull. Compromise.

 They are pretty cute.

 It's always fun when we can all get together.  The kids kind of get lost at Joys house.  They go downstairs and we don't see them again until it is time to go.  We did gather them together long enough to eat and get a picture.  They also played a couple of game. The fish pond and the cake walk.

 I love that most of my family dresses up.  Heather was dressed up, but she didn't want to be in the picture.  Trevor and Katie were they only ones who didn't dress up this year.

 The kids also decorated a sugar cookie and took care of a couple pinatas.

 Bensen sat so patiently waiting for his turn.

 Looks like Wesley might hit left.  We will have to watch that.

The kids had a great time. We love getting together with our family. Good food, good times.

Borgstrom Memorial

There was a man who came to Tremonton to do a little lesson on the meaning of the service flag. It was pretty interesting.  The reason we were invited was because of the Borgstrom brothers. Four died in the war, all in different places. Then Mike's Grandpa was honorably discharged. After the meeting we went to the graveyard.

 After the graves we went over to the Memorial they but in over 10 years ago.

 It had started to rain by this time so we didn't stay very long. 

 But the kids liked it. I hope they will someday understand and appreciate all the men and women who sacrifice so that we can enjoy the freedom that we have.

 After the memorial we drove by the house that Grandpa Randy grew up in.

Then Mikes parents took us to Madox.  I think it was the first time I have been there. It was pretty fun.  There was a guy playing the fiddle, the bread and rolls with the butters were amazing. Over all it was a great day.

When we got home Mike and the kids found this guy. It was the biggest slug I have ever seen. Had to document it. :)
