Mike had a Birthday!

Happy Birthday Mike!

He turned 38 this year. His birthday was on Sunday this year so me and the kids made him breakfast.

We went out on a date a couple days before his birthday.  This year Mike bought himself a shot gun, and a case to go with it! 

I sure love him, he is the best husband ever! Right now I'm not much good for anything, so a lot of the time he ends up making lunch, dinner and doing the laundry. He does all the grocery shopping, yard work, and that's on top of working his regular job! He really is amazing!

He's the best Dad ever.  The kids love him so much. He loves taking them places and doing fun thing with them. When he goes into work (which is once a week) Bensen mopes around looking for him. It's actually pretty cute.

He is such a hard worker, and we love him!

Thanks for taking such good care of us Mike, we love you!

Happy Birthday Wesley!

Wesley turned 6 today!

To start the day off we went to breakfast at Denny's.

 Before Jaycee left for school Wesley got to open one present. He had been asking for Mario Maker for a couple of weeks...its all we've heard about. 

 So while Jaycee was at school he got to try it out.  He loves it.  It is actually pretty fun, it would be better if it was for more then one player.

Later that night we had his party in our backyard. Mike set up some targets so the kids could shoot the blow guns. We had up the bean bag toss I made for his 3rd birthday, and we had set up the Frisbee golf basket.  So there was a lot to entertain the kids.

 Wesley loved everything he got!

Another thing Wes had been talking about for a while was a metal detector. I think he is really going to like it!

 Grandma LouLou made him a pillow bed.

Grandma and Grandpa Bailey gave him a money sorter.

 He picked out a Minion cake and he helped me decorate it.

Wesley is such a good kid.  He is very helpful, especially right now while I've been sick (pregnancy) he helps me with everything, especially with Bensen.

He's started playing basketball and he loves it!

He loves to play with his cousins, him and Brody are best buds.

He likes to ride his bike.

He's turning out to be a pretty good reader.

He likes school, which is so nice! He whips through his homework.

He doesn't like to admit when hes wrong or say he's sorry...but who does? :)

We sure love him and we are so glad he came into our family.

New Baby!

We found out we are going to be having a baby! My due date is May 1, 2016.  We are really excited! :)

First Days Of School

Jaycee went back to school on Monday, August 24.

 Her teacher this year is Mrs Broadhead. She seems pretty nice. I think Jaycee is going to love her.

 These girls all had different teachers again this year. Last year the twins had Mrs. Broadhead and they loved her!

 Here they are just off the bus! The twins were so excited that they had already run into the school.

 She is in the same classroom I had when I was in kindergarten. :)

We had a meeting for Wesley this first day. Then he had kindergarten testing on Tuesday.

 His first real day of school was today, and he was so excited and ready to go!

 Brody and Wes have the same teacher this year, lucky boys...but poor Kayla.  I told the boys they need to take care of her, make sure she has friends to play with at recess and such.

Today they said they couldn't find her. I hope they really couldn't find her, and they weren't just being stinkers! They were supposed to meet at the yellow slide.  Kayla said she waited at the slide and they never showed up! Wesley said they looked for her and couldn't find her anywhere.

Hopefully they do better tomorrow.

Jamming

We bought a case of raspberries this week.  We decided to make some jam. We even had all the stuff we needed at home.

Wesley loved helping.

 The recipe called for 1 2/3 cups of prepared fruit, 2/3 cup of sugar, 2 TBSP instant pectin.

Easy as that!

 We froze some of the berries. I wish we had made more jam! It is so yummy!

I will definitely be making this again.
