Another long day! This one was much better than yesterday! We took a Rome in a Day tour. We started off at the Vatican which was pretty awesome. We learned about the Sistine Chapel and saw a lot of art. Then we went to the Piazza Novono, from there we walked to the Panteon, and then to the Trevi Fountain, where we stopped for lunch. I got pizza, Mike got a sandwich. I also tried a pistachio cannoli, which wasn't great, so we got a gelato to share.😏 After lunch we walked toward the Colosseum. On the way there we saw Altare della Patria, and the Roman Forum. Our tour ended with the Colosseum, but we weren't done yet! Our tour didn't take us into the Pantheon, so we walked back to it to go inside, but it was closed because of a church service. So we decided to walk to St. Peter's Basilica. By the time we got there it was after 5, and the line was so long. So we just looked at the outside, I found a fountain I posed by 20 or so years ago, so I took another picture by it. You would think by now we would be done...but we weren't, we decided to walk another mile or so to the Spanish Steps! Then we walked home. Overall it was a great day. Mike said it was a good thing we had a tour guide or we probably wouldn't have made it out of the Vatican! I like to look at everything and read every sign. We definitely didn't to that today! We walked over 24,000 steps, that is just shy of 12 miles!

Day 1&2-20 Year Anniversary Trip!
We are off to Rome...Our first flight out of SLC was delayed 2 hours because of maintenance, which would have made us miss our connecting flight out of Atlanta. So we had to switch our flight to New York to Paris then on to Rome. The new flight (New York to Paris) ended up leaving an hour late! So we literally ran through the Paris airport, we just barely made our flight! We finally made it to Rome...but our bags didn't! So we had to wait in the airport for another 2 hours to wait for our bags. No big deal. We rode the metro then walked for awhile to our room, dropped off our bags and headed to the closest thing to us, which was the Trevi fountain. We had planned to go to the temple, but had to cancel it because of our switched flight, we lost about 10 hours. We had pasta at a little restaurant by the fountain and had some gelato for our walk back to our room. That was two very long travel days! I slept so good! I don't think I moved all night.

Valentines
Happy Valentines!
This year was a little different. Grandma Carmae was out of town, so no Valentines breakfast with cousins. We usually had a basketball game to attend, not this year, which was nice having us all together! I think we may need to make a new tradition, the pizza this year was small, and didn't really look like a heart! We will have to think about this.

Temple and Mission Call
Isn't she the cutest! It's fun to see Jaycee growing and making good choices. She decided to go through the Ogden temple on February 5th! With lots of support from family and friends. We are so grateful for all those who love and support Jaycee! We missed a few people in the pictures.
She got her mission call a few days later on February 7th. She is going to Fort Collins, Colorado! She starts home MTC on March 30th and goes to the MTC on April 8th. We are so excited for her!
