Summer Fun!

Wesley found this giant slug in the backyard! Yuck!
Me and Amber took the kids up to hike the Green Pond Trail. I don't think we have ever made it to the Green Pond, but the kids love this hike.

Vivian kept saying her feet hurt. I made her walk most of the trail. When we got home and took her shoes off she had blisters on her heels.
Bad mom award here!
 Jaycee got braces!

Mikes parents went up Monte Cristo camping. We went up and spent the day with them a couple of times.
Bensen tried to bring his rock collection home. As he went to get more to put in the car I threw some out! We still ended up with a lot of rocks...and a bag of moss!
On July 2 we took the kids to the Motervu Drive-in to see Toy Story 4 and Secret Life of Pets 2.
On the 3rd we went and saw Grandma Allred. She was in a great mood and was teasing the kids.
On the way down Vivi  got car sick and puked just as we got there. Luckily for me she kept most of it in her mouth until I was able to pull her out of the car.
After Grandmas we went to Funtopia in Lehi. This is on the Get Out Pass the kids got for Christmas. They loved it!

Since we were all the way down that way we decided to go to a trampoline place that is also on the Pass.
It was a busy week, and it's not over yet!

Happy Birthday Jaycee

Jaycee had her friend party on the 14th.
They played games and had pizza.

She has such a fun group of friends! She has decided to go to Highmark for Jr. High, so it will be interesting to see how her friends change.
Hopefully she can keep the good ones!
We sure love Jaycee! She is so helpful and mostly easy going and low drama.
She is turning into a teenager and thinks she is right about everything!
Some of her favorites are
Blue
Bajio's
Mashed potatoes
Soccer
Boating
Basketball
Swimming
Spending time with family
Playing with cousins

Manti Pagent

We had some time to kill 😉 before we went to our campsite so we decided to visit some graves.
The older two really enjoyed this, I was a little surprised.
We stayed at the Pleasant Creek campground in Mount Pleasant.
It was a really nice place.
After we got the trailer set up we went and swam for a bit.
We had all day before the Manti Pageant, so we went and found more Bailey graves.
We took a little cabin tour. This cabin is a replica. There used to be a lot of them. Those who settled Manti came in the winter and there was no time to build real houses, so they built these in the hillside. In the Spring they had hundreds of rattlesnakes in there cabins! Yuck! Both me and Mike have ancestors that lived in these cabins.

Then we walked around the garden near the temple.
Viv had her first accident of the day here. We spent too much time at the lake she decided she could just pee where ever she wanted to.

We got lunch at Fred's Sports Grill, then drove up to the Palisades and ate in the car. It was so busy! So we headed back to Manti to a park near an elementary school and let the kids play for a bit. This is where Viv had her second accident and Bensen had his first! Ugh!!!
After we sprayed them down we went and toured the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers museum.
Then we went and found our spot for the Pageant!
It was so hot! And then it rained and got cold!
Luckily it stopped and we were able to enjoy the pageant.
While we waited for it to start Mike and the kids went and got scones and lemonades and chocolate covered strawberries! Yum!
I'm so glad we went. I was a little on the fence, thinking the kids might be too young, but all of them loved it but Viv. (She fell asleep.)

Huntington Lake

Huntington Lake this year was great, and no one got injured.
The sunset our first night was pretty spectacular!

The kids all love the water! I was telling my parents, the one thing they got from me was their love for the water!
I'm pretty sure Jaycee could live on the water weenie.

My dad has a cousin that lives in Cleveland that has put together all these cabins.
He gave us a tour, they were pretty awesome.
He told us how he started with one and then people started donating thing to him. They are all filled with furniture, farm equipment, dentist stuff, and mercantile things. It was pretty amazing.
In one of the homes he asked us all to be still and quiet.
Then asked what we felt.
It was pretty amazing the Spirit that you could feel in the room. I think most of us felt it.

Even this awesome firetruck was donated to him.

My dads cousins name is Owen Olsen, his mom was my grandmas sister.
I loved the sunsets! That is one thing we don't have a lot of in South Weber.
We had decided to go to the Manti Pageant, everyone else went home. We took a different route over the mountain. We were able to see a lot of snow, and some lakes.

It was pretty crazy how much snow and ice were still up in the mountains.
We are off to the Manti Pageant!
