Happy St. Patty's Day!

We haven't done that much this last month. The kids (mostly Wesley) have been sick all month. If it's not croup it's something else. He's been on antibiotics all month, along with a couple of steroid shots. No fun. The weather has been really nice and we've gone outside to play. Sometimes we just sit on the porch steps and eat crackers, at least we are outside.
Jaycee has decided she no longer wants to take dance.  I tried to get her into swimming lessons but they were full. So she's going to try soccer. She's pretty excited. She really wants to do tumbling but I told her she has to wait until summer. I think Wesley will miss dance more then Jaycee.  He love's to dance and I think he's pretty good at it.
We had a fun St. Patrick's Day, a leprechaun came and visited us thanks to Mike's mom.
I lock the house up tight so the little guy can't get inside. He left us some gold! We did some shopping while Mike helped his dad at his apartments. They put down a wood floor in the bedroom. Later that night we watched "Rio" with the kids.
One of their favorite things is to watch movies in our bed. Easy to do and yet we hardly ever do it. It was fun. I actually went and took a bath half way through the movie.
Yesterday after Jaycee had gone to church and her grandma's house and played with her cousins she came home and puked! I hope no one gets sick because of her. She was fine all day until about 7. We had a slumber party with the kids they got to sleep on my floor, because I didn't want to be running around all night and I wanted to keep the puke in one area. It worked out.
I turn 30 tomorrow. That should be fun...hopefully I'm not sick and throwing up.
Mike's parents and going to sell us some property in South Weber so it looks like we will be moving back home.:) I'm excited, I think Mike is too. It won't be for a few years, and that's only if things work out like we
hope.

Happy Valentines!

We had a pretty good Valentines day this year.  Let me start out by saying that Mike's mom is the queen of holidays. She did and still does fun things for almost all holidays. Mike has a lot of good memories.  So I thought I'd give it a try.  Last year for St. Patty's I did a green breakfast that was not a hit.  Jaycee hated it, and wouldn't touch it.  Anyway this year Mike mentioned his mom used to do a hole in one breakfast.  So I tried it. You cut a heart out of a piece of bread, toast it and put an egg in the middle.  The kid's wouldn't touch it. So me and Mike got two hole in ones.  They did like the heart I cut out and put jam on, so it wasn't a total loss.  Then Jaycee was off to school. This is what she looked like when she got home.  She's so cute.
For lunch I made heart pb&j sandwiches. I don't think they even realized I cut them in the shape of a heart. Jaycee had dance later in the day.  She had fun handing out valentines this year.  She even wrote her name on all of them by herself. (Over 30 valentines!) I told her months ago that if she would learn to write her name we could go to Chuck -E- Cheese, and we did.
Back to Valentines day.  After dance we came home and had a candle light heart pizza dinner.  Both the kids loved this meal. Jaycee has wanted to eat by candle light every night since.
After dinner we put a show on for the kids and me and Mike did a puzzle.  We used to do puzzles all the time.  I don't think we have done one since before Jaycee was born.  I have asked Mike a couple of time if he wanted to do one, but its hard with little helpers so we haven't.  The kids were so good they sat on the couch till it was bed time.  So we finished in one night.  We had to stay up until 10:30, but we did it. :)
I love my family and I am so grateful for them.  Hopefully they can remember that I did try to be a good mom...at least on holidays. :)

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Well, we made it 6 years! I am more in love with Mike now then I ever have been. He is so thoughtful and loving. He is an amazing Dad. He takes good care of his family, and we would be completely lost without him. I love you Mike, I think your the bee's knee's!
Mike gives the best gifts! This year for our anniversary he gave me my blog! In book form! It is amazing. I've been telling him I feel bad because I never scrapbook. He kept telling me "Just keep up on the blog." Which I didn't feel like it was the same thing, but now I do.  I've been trying to get Mike to write in his journal for awhile now.  He always says that I write and that's good enough.  I don't agree. Anyway throughout the book in bold he added what he thought and felt. I loved hearing his point of view on things. Especially his thoughts on when the kids were born and when his grandpa died. He took the book back to 2006 starting with our wedding. I didn't start blogging until May of 2008.  So the first year and a half was all him, and it is so good.  He also had to do the last little bit, because I fell behind.
That is why my blogging has become more informative.
So in conclusion Mike your the best and I love you!

Happy New Year!

Between Christmas and New Years we spend time with Mikes family because Drew is in town. We went to the Tree House Museum.
I love the faces she pulls, she's so funny.
Yee haw!
Giddy Up!

Their works of art.
We went to a couple of movies, played games.  Fun times.

We had some crappy things happen to us this year, my mom's cancer, my miscarriage, being on clomid for 8 months (crappy for me, crappy for everybody).  I felt like I was going crazy, but we were also very blessed.  We are alive, for the most part healthy, we have a home, Mike has a job, we have two beautiful kids, our testimonies, and much more.

They are so cute!

I love Wesley's face in this one.
I'm looking forward to this year and all that it will bring. Bring it on 2012!

Merry Christmas!

We had a very merry Christmas.  We were able to do some fun things. For the past 5 years we do a 12 days of Christmas given to us by Bishop and Sister Clark in 2007.  It's nice to focus on the reason we celebrate Christmas.  Each day starts with a song then a scripture then a story then a little imagine if to help you reflect on the story.  I'm not sure the kids get a lot out of it, but it's nice for me and Mike.
We let the kids paint Christmas ornaments, they loved it.  Wesley would paint his then dip it in water then paint it again. They had fun and by the time we made them stop they were a big mess!

For the past 4 years in lieu of neighborhood gifts our neighborhood has chosen families in need to help with Christmas. Jaycee had fun picking out clothes for the kids. She was really excited to see them in their clothes and was pretty sad when we told her she would not get to see them receive the gifts.

I was able to make some yummy treats this year. We made Oreo truffles, pretzel turtles, candy cane mint brownies and peppermint snowball cookies (which I think were my favorite).

Jaycee and Mike were able to go to "A Christmas Carol" at the Washington Terrace Playhouse. I think Jaycee really liked it. She talks about it all the time.

We took the kids to see the Layton lights and also to Ogden to see the Christmas village. The Layton lights are nice because you can drive through them.  The Ogden lights were so cold...too cold! It was hard to enjoy them. I was worried about the kids freezing and it was so crowded.

On the 23rd we had our Bailey Christmas party.  We ate then did a little devotional, then the kids did a talent show.  It was so cute, there's some crazy talent in those kids. :) Then we played games and just hung out.
We spent Christmas Eve with Mikes family.  We started out at the church to take pictures.
Wesley being semi cooperative.
Cute girls.
The whole fam.
Siblings.
The girls having fun.
Wesley missing out on all the fun!  We ended up waking him up and he was so ornery.

Christmas was on Sunday this year so we woke the kids up so they could open their presents before our 9 o'clock church.  They had so much fun.  Wesley is slow to wake up so it took him awhile to fully enjoy opening presents but he got it.  Santa brought Wesley a train table. He got one for his birthday but he was so nice and let Luke have it that Santa brought him and extra special gift.  Jaycee got a Strawberry shortcake house car and people.
From us they got pj's, some wii games, Lion King, Pinocchio, slippers, shoes, ect...
I don't remember everything, but every year we get them way too much.  We did better this year then last year.

We had Christmas brunch at my parents house.  It's always crazy when we all get together because there are so many of us! But it's so fun to be with everyone...that doesn't happen as often as it used to.  After brunch we opened presents them some of us played my mom's new X box Kinect.  Good times.
Kayla in her owl hat.
Jaycee in her cape!
We love being so close to our families and being able to get together. I'm grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and the opportunity we have to celebrate his birth.
