Sleeping Beauties

So I'm averaging about one post a month, that's pretty good compared to some...right?
I took this cute picture this morning of the kids and thought it was blog worthy. I don't always let them in bed with me, but sometimes when Mike has already gone to work and it's cold, and I'm lazy they get to sleep in our bed. They slept in late which was nice, I was able to get up and get ready. That hardly ever happens. Wesley was sitting up on my pillow when I went to get ready, when I came back in the room he had slid down next to Jaycee. I swear, I have the cutest kids in the world. If only they were always so cute and peaceful. I think it's funny how they are sleeping in the same position. Anyway, I just had to post this picture.
We got what I consider to be good news today. They are going to start digging the hole for the house on Monday! I am super excited, Mike is a little nervous. He was hoping for a little more time to save, I just want in. We've been keeping a pretty close watch on some of the houses going up in our neighborhood. Two of them are the same house plan as ours. It's been fun to see how fast they build them. We seriously make the trip out to Hooper at least once a week. I can't wait until we can actually see our house. That I'm sure will be much more exciting. I'll make sure to put some pictures up as soon as I get them.
Oh yeah, one more thing...Happy Thanksgiving!

New House

Well, we spent the whole day yesterday, I'm talking 8 hours, picking out colors for our house. Some people might think this sounds fun...it was not fun. Me and Mike are so indecisive, and there were a lot of decisions to make. I don't have much of an eye for decorating so picking color to go together was hard. Anyway, it's nice to have it all done. Hopefully we like what we picked and that it all looks good together...I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
These are not the best pictures, but we tried.

Welcome Wesley

Well he's finally here!! He was born October 1 at 4:13 weighing in at 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. It was an experience! Different from the first. With Jaycee, labor was a breeze. Wesley was a whole other story. Things started off pretty normal. When I got to the hospital my contractions were 7 minutes apart. I got my epidural around 11. It was an intern that did it and she had to do it twice, painful. Around 12 o'clock I was still in quite a bit of pain so I got another epidural, which worked really well for a couple of hours. It wore off way faster than I wanted. I kept telling the nurse I was in pain, they gave me a lot of medicine, I shouldn't have been able to feel anything. However I was feeling a lot. Mike went and got the nurse, she checked me and I was ready. They called the Dr and about 5 minutes later she was there and I was pushing. After the second push my Dr. said "That's weird!" And I said "What's weird!?!" The cord was wrapped around his little neck. After that it was a blur. The Dr. kept telling me he was fine, I looked over at him and the nurses were doing CPR on his little body. I had a lot of family in with me and everyone was so quiet. It was very scary to see him just laying there not moving or making any noise. The Dr. kept assuring me he was fine. Finally we heard him make a little cry. I got to hold him for about 10 seconds and then he was whisked away to the NICU. Mike was able to go with him. They came back about 5 minutes later and said he was doing really good, breathing on his own, but they wanted to keep him and watch him for a couple hours. Mike was able to take our family member in to see him two at a time. I was the last to get to see him and it was about 2 hours after he was born. When I finally got to see him he was doing so good, I got to hold him. He is so perfect.
I am so grateful to be his mom. I am truly blessed. I think if any of the medicine had worked and I was numb I wouldn't have known when he was ready. Things happened so fast. If it had taken them any longer then it did I don't know if we would have our little guy today. Truly Blessed. He's so perfect.

On another note, Mike turned 32 on the 11th. So happy birthday Mike! I love you.

Also we are going to be moving to Hooper! Not for another 5 to 6 months, but it's nice knowing what we have to look forward to. We are really excited. And scared at the same time. We've had a busy couple of weeks.:)

House Update

Well, we put an offer in with Nelson Homes to build us a house! We offered pretty low of what they wanted...so now we just wait to see what they say. Scary stuff. Hopefully we will know on Monday weather they accepted our offer or not. Pretty exciting! If all goes to plan we could have a new house by the middle of March of beginning of April. Yeah!
On another note, I am completely in love with the weather we are having. I recently bought a rocker for outside. It's my new favorite thing to do. I could sit out there all day. Me and Mike usually go for a drive around this time every year, because I love to look at the leaves. Hopefully we will get to this year and take some more family pics, and get Jaycee and Wesley (yes, we decided on a name) in their Halloween costumes.
Anyway, the next time I post I'll have another kid! How crazy is that? And we will know about the house. So stay tuned...:)

Just an Update

We still have no idea if we are going to build or buy...we are leaning more towards building. Which is great! I would love to have a brand new house that didn't need something fixed every other week. That just means we live in the basement a little longer. Not so sure how the parents will feel about that. But then again, if it wasn't us, I'm sure it would be someone else. :)
On top of having no house, both of our cars decided to die. So we bought a 2005 Malibu, and they gave us $500 for my car that hardly worked, which they also lost. They told Mike to drive it down on Sunday and leave the keys in it...so he did, and now they can't find it. Their loss. I'm pretty happy with the Malibu, I hardly ever get to drive it because Mike takes it to work...I guess that is important. :) We took our other car to a mechanic, Mike says it might be there for a while. Hopefully it's not to expensive to fix. So the good news is we do have one working vehicle.
I went to the Dr. yesterday and scheduled my delivery for October 1 at 7:00 a.m. I'm pretty excited about that. It's nice to have a day and time. Now I feel like there really is an end, and there will be a reward at the end! 20 MORE DAYS!!
