Braces and Temple

Viv got her expander out on Monday and braces put on on Tuesday! Should be a fun couple of months!

Mike is so good about taking the kids and some of their cousins to the temple almost every month. Today, I went along because it was Wesley's first time being able to do the baptizing! What a fun experience. After the temple we went and picked up some fritters from Sills. They were delicious!

 

Happy New Year and Anniversary

What a year! We started the night out with the Borgstrom side of the family, with some good food and company! Then we ended the night at Trevor and Katie's with more good food and games! We are so blessed to be surrounded by family. My kids don't know how good they have it!

 This year for our anniversary we stayed in Salt Lake at the Anniversary Inn in the Gold Rush room. We had so much fun at the Immersive Gamebox. You wear these hats and play interactive games in a little box room. I think we will bring the kids back, they would love it!  We also caught a JK Studios improve show, they are the old cast of Studio C. It was fun! Since we were down in Provo for the show, we stopped and ate at Bajio's! My absolute favorite, unfortunately the only one open is in Orem. We also went and saws Bridal Falls. It was beautiful.

Mike is so good at planning things! I suck at it...honestly planning things really never crosses my mind! We are celebrating 19 years! Life has worked out better then I could have ever planned and it is all because I married Mike! He really is the best.

 

Decemeber

December was a whirlwind! 

Wesley was nominated to do the Shave it of Shave it fundraiser at school. He won...or lost and shaved his head. Because that wasn't different enough he decided to bleach it too! Nobody recognized him. At church we had several people come up and talk to us about his hair. Even at Vivian's soccer game my parents were wondering who the kid sitting next to us was.😂

Bensen joined the school choir he goes to practice every Tuesday morning before school, and some Thursday right before a concert. Their Christmas concert was so good! I watched it several times and it was legit! He hates it and is not sure he wants to continue. 

Mike usually takes us to a play around Christmas time. We usually go to A Christmas Carol. This year we went to the Hope Box Theater and saw  A Christmas Story. It was fun. At the Hope Box Theater they donate all the money from to families affected by cancer.

 Vivian's soccer team took first place at indoor. She did so good and continues to get better and better.

On the 22nd we went to the Ogden lights. The kids always love that. It was a little rainy this year, we also took Penny. She is a little skittish around people, so that was fun.

On Christmas Eve we spent the evening with the Borgstroms.  The kids did the Nativity. It was especially cute this year.

I always love spending time with family and celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

November

Jaycee played in a lacrosse tournament. I love watching lacrosse. It is even better when they win! They won all of their games.

Wesley is doing great at basketball. They had their 9th grade game and honored all the 9th graders.

Jaycee went to her first high school dance. She asked Boston Ferrin. I think she had a fun time! I have been trying to talk her into going to a dance for 3 years. She finally did it.

Wesley joined the National Jr Honors Society. He may have been forced, but he did it.  He thinks it's a scam.

We spent Thanksgiving with the Borgstroms this year. Getting together with family is the best.

Viv's soccer team decided to do a session of indoor. She gets to play goalie half of the game. She is loving it!

Basketball is coming to an end. She was just starting to get it. It is hard when the kids like to try all the things. Just as they are getting good and understanding what is going on, they switch sports!
