November, Puppy!

We decided we did need a puppy.  It took us a while to choose which one we were going to pick. The only one Mike wanted was the brown one. Which we all loved also, but there was one black one that I also really liked. Jaime decided to take her! Trevor ended up getting one also. We named ours Penny. The kids love her. She is so cute. We were able to pick her up on Thanksgiving. So the kids had a little bit of a break from school to get used to her.
Wesley received an award at school from his science teacher. He really is a great student!
Heather was in charge of the Christmas Tree Jubilee. So all of us sisters got together to make a tree. It was so fun, I would like to do it again sometime.
I was able to go on a fieldtrip with Bensen to the Aquarium in the Layton Mall. We had fun, it's been a minute since I have ridden in a school bus...that was fun.

October

Happy birthday to Mike! We went to Red Robin to Celebrate. We are so lucky to have Mike! He is the best!
We love going to Joys for some puppy time, they are so cute!
Football season came to an end. We were a little worried about this season, Wesley was put on the B team, most of his friends were on the A team. I don't think it had anything to do with his abilities, and honestly I was pretty mad. But it ended up being a good experience. He was able to get a lot of playing time on offense and defense. They threw it to him several times a game and he was able to score some touchdowns, which was exciting. The even won the championship!
Me and Mike did some mountain biking. We really liked the Spork Trail in North Fork. It was especially awesome in the fall with all the fall leaves.
Our garden did great this year, we canned a lot of salsa. Yum!
This years Halloween costumes were some of my favorite! We had so much fun with them. I have wanted to do ghosts for a long time. I started letting the kids watch The Ghostbusters Cartoon in August. So Bensen was excited to be a Ghostbuster. Getting him on board is the hardest part.  I even downloaded the theme song and we played it when we enter parties, and while we were Trick of Treating. It really was a fun year. We will probably use these costumes again!

Puppies and Birthdays

Joys dog River had 6 puppies on Wesleys birthday! I think we need one!
Happy Birthday Wes! I can't believe we have another teenager in the house!

©     Wesley is so smart and good at anything he puts effort into. Right now he likes football, lacrosse and basketball. He likes to tease his brother and sisters. Sometimes to the point of tears. He is hardworking and a good listener. If I ask him to do something, I rarely have to ask him twice.
We sure love Wes!

September Catch Up

We have been trying to ride our bikes more, we have been getting out on Friday mornings. Sometimes it's just me and Mike, other times we go with other people.
We made it up to Joy and Lances property a couple of times. The kids love the dirt bikes and four
wheelers.
We started a little dinner group with Jaime, Matt, Sarah, Jim, Cynthia and Ryan.  Cynthia was amazed at how much we didn't branch out when it came to eating out, so our dinner group, which Mike named The Taste Buds, tries to go out once a month or so and try different restaurants. It has been fun, and we get to try food we never would have gone to before.
We've been going to a lot of games. The kids are doing great with their different sports.

The Light Festival

We went to the Lights Festival, and it did not disappoint! We had so much fun listening to music, the Johnson Files, playing Uno, and lighting the lanterns. The kids loved it! Bensen was almost in tears when the lanterns were lit and said it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen!😊He already wants to know if we can do it again next year.
The kids also loved the Johnson Files, I have followed them on Instagram for a while, so it was fun to see them in person.
