Wesley Got Baptized!

Today was the day! Wesley decided he wanted to wait to get baptized with Brody, so he waited a couple of months.
He was so excited to get baptized the night before he talked about getting up early and getting his baptism clothes on, he had it all planned out.  Well, we had a bit of a late night the night before, so when we went to wake him up he was still in bed, and at some point in the night he must have got up and started getting ready, because he had his pajamas off and he was sleeping in his church pants and belt.
Wesley had the ward missionaries come over a couple of times to teach him some lessons.
He did great, he even made a little small talk with them.
It was pretty cold this morning, but could have been colder.
I am so grateful for Mike and his good example to the kids. They sure are lucky to have him.
Mike baptized and confirmed Wesley. Grandpa Max and Grandpa Randy were the witnesses. Mike, Tyson, Trevor, Spencer, Grandpa Max, Grandpa Randy, Bishop Skeen and Brandon Buckway were in the circle when he was confirmed.
Brody and Wesley were the only baptisms today, it was nice that it was all family or people from our wards. Emily Goss gave a great talk about how life is like a maze, and how we are trying to get back to Heavenly Father.  Then Bailey and Borgstrom cousins were able to sing Gethsemane. They all did a great job.

Wesley and Brody are such good friends, it was so nice to have them baptized on the same day.
Wesley is so lucky, he has so many people that love him and came to share this special day with him. Besides most of his extended family, the Ward missionaries, Melissa Peterson and Michelle Clark, his primary teachers, Zack and Dawnyle Haugen and their kids, his school teacher Mrs. Harris, the primary President Tena Thompson and her counselor Kalie Weisman, and Bishop Skeen.

After the baptism we all headed back to our house for lunch. We had sub sandwiches, several different salads, chips, cookies, and some cake.
We've never had so many people in our home at one time, it was crazy. Luck for us the weather held out and the kids were able to go out and play.
Then just like that they were gone!
I am so proud of Wesley for choosing to be baptized.

November

We've had a month full of basketball. The kids are doing great and it is so fun to watch them play with their cousins.
They are both improving and seem to really like it.
Go #10!
On the 17th (Grandpa Max's birthday) the kids got to go to an old folks home and watch Grandma LouLou share one of her many talents as she painted this picture of Christ. Then they all sang Gethsemane.
It was a great program.
Every one did so amazing.
This month we tried to keep up with the tradition of writing down the things that we are thankful for. It's always fun to see what the kids come up with.
This year Bensen was able to really participate, he was always thankful for the first thing he looked up and saw. It started with the clock, then the next night it was the table, and so on. He's so funny.

This November the weather has been so nice, the kids are still out playing with short sleeves! Jaycee and some of her friends even decorated the forest.
For Thanksgiving we were with my family this year. We went up to Joys house. Everyone was there. I made green bean casserole. I love, love spending time with my family, just talking and laughing.
After dinner some of us went shooting.
Then we went back to Joys for some pie. The coconut cream was my favorite!
Then we headed over to Mikes parents and hung out there for a bit, and ate more pie! Pumpkin for me.
Man we sure are lucky to have such amazing families!
Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Great To Be Eight! Part 2

Wesley is so excited to get baptized next month.
We had stake conference at the conference center so we decided to take pictures at the temple afterward.
It is so fun that these two get to be baptized on the same day.
Taking pictures of boys is definitely different then taking pictures of girls.
It only took us about 10 minutes and they were done.
But they did great and I think we got some good ones.

These two have been the best of friends for forever.

I'm so grateful for Wesley and his decision to be baptized. He has been so excited. He is such a good example to all of us. We love you Wes!

More Halloween Fun

This year we remembered to carve the pumpkins.
Granted it was the day before Halloween, but they got done.
And they looked very nice for Halloween.
Everyone got in on the action.
They all did a great job!

On Halloween we went to the school parade.
 That's always a good time.
We started off our Trick or Treating at Grandma LouLou's.
Then we headed to Grandma Carmae's. Vivian loved trick or treating and was pretty upset when we skipped a house, or when I tried to help her with her bag.
Once I tired of fighting with her we decided to come home and pass out candy.
This is the first year that I have passed out candy since we've had our own home. I have to say, I was a little disappointed, we hardly got any kids at our house. I was handing out hand fulls of candy just to get rid of it.
Happy Halloween until next year.

Borgstrom Halloween Party

We are all dressed up ready to go to our next family party.

Our first project was to create our Halloween goodie bags
Then we played the donut on a string game.
This is always the kids favorite!
They are getting pretty good at it.
Bensen is still trying to get figure out the game.

The kids have loved dressing up this year.
 Jaycee loved getting into character
Grandma LouLou always plans such a fun party!
Really it doesn't matter what we do, being with family is the best!
