Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

We had an excellent holiday season. As the kids get older holidays get more fun.
We had our Bailey party at Joys house this year. We ate a lot of great food, and played some fun games.  Wesley even got decorated!
I don't have many pictures of my parents, so I decided to throw this one in.
Doesn't he make the cutest little tree.
Here are a couple more cute little trees.
And we can't forget my sweet reindeer.
On Christmas Eve we have the Borgstrom Party. The kids had a lot of fun dressing up and acting out the nativity.
Wesley was a so excited to be a Wiseman.
Jaycee was a shepherd.  She was pretty upset that she didn't get to be Mary. All the girls wanted to be Mary. She thought if she was Mary she would get to hold Elsie, like a baby. Elsie is almost one, and not about to let anyone hold her like a baby! She wants to be on the move.  She is actually in this picture, she started out in the basket.  That didn't last long. You can kind of see her behind Logan.
Every year Grandma LouLou makes the kids pajamas.  The kids love them.
We had fun and played games. Telestrations was so funny.  I was in tears laughing so hard.
Wesley was a little nervous to go to sleep that night.  He wanted to sleep with us.  I assured him that Santa Claus would not be coming into his bedroom. Lucky for us they both fell asleep really fast.
They love finding what's in their socks.  This year they got electric toothbrushes! And they love them.
I love his little under bite.
Both the kids got watches this year. Wesley's was a Marvel and Jaycee got a Hello Kitty.
On one of our 25 days of Christmas we took the kids to the dollar store and they were able to pick a few things out for each other and for us.  This hat is one of the things Jaycee pick for Wesley.
It's funny, Mike took each of the kids, separately, to pick something out for me, and they both picked out a hand held mirror.  Mike said there were a couple to choose from, but they both picked the same one.
On Wesley's list this year was a watch, an alarm clock, a telescope (which was really a magnifying glass), and a finder sing (which was a metal detector). He got three of the 4 things.  No metal detector this year.
On Jaycee's list was lip stick, high heels, a dress that touches the floor, and chalk for her hair. She also got three of the four things. No high heels, and she made sure to tell me that her dress doesn't touch the floor. I told her I did my best. Dresses that touch the floor are hard to find.
Santa brought us a Wii U this year.  We've had fun trying to figure that out.
After we opened our presents we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Baileys and had breakfast and opened our exchange gifts.
Here's some of the kids.
My mom asked me to make all the girls dolls this year.  What a project that turned out to be. I think they turned out pretty cute...I might be a little bias. Me and Jaime picked out which doll would go to who. It was funny, when they opened them some of them matched their owner. Abbie and Ellies were exact matches. Kailey's and Paige's matched pretty good too.
Me and Mike were there, we were just on camera duty all morning.
On New Years Eve we spent the night with the Borgstrom side of our family.  We played games, and ate way too much food.
 Everyone made it until midnight.
Wesley had a lot more fun this year then last year.  He enjoyed the horns and the loud noises.  Mike and his dad tried to light fireworks for about 5 minutes.  It turns out LouAnn bought big poppers, not fireworks.  That was funny.

Here's all the Borgstrom cousins, except Elsie.
 Ringing in the new year.
We are so lucky to have family so nearby. We even get to spend the holiday with Andrew, Cheryl, Miriam, and Quentin. The kids counted down the days until they got here.  I'm not sure if they were more excited for Christmas, or for them to get here. I love that my kids get to grow up with their cousins as best friends. It really is remarkable. I love that they are all such great kids. I love spending time with mine and Mikes siblings and parents.  They are all great also.  We truly are blessed
Speaking of being blessed Bensen still hasn't made his arrival. I went to the doctor on Monday, she said he is measuring 7 lbs, 2oz! Jaycee was 7lbs, 3oz when she was born! Bensen is averaging out at 40 weeks. I will be 37 weeks on Monday. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks he will decide to make an appearance.  If not he will for sure be here by the 19th.

Breaking Ground

It's official, we've broke ground on our house! Mike the excavator probably thinks we are crazy because we are down there watching him everyday. What can I say, we are pretty excited!
Here it is on the first day when he cleared everything.
Here it is on the first day of digging.

Here it is on the second day digging.
Oh, if anyone needs dirt we have a lot to get rid of.
Now our dirt pile is as high as our wall.
Now we just have to figure out what we want the house to look like on the inside and out...no big deal...right?

Jaycee had her last basketball game this last week.  She even got the chance to dribble and shoot the ball! We are so proud of her.

Days Gone By

How is it that time can go so fast, and so slow at the same time? I seriously feel like I have been pregnant forever. At the same time I can't believe that December is already half over! We had a great Thanksgiving. We had our Bailey lunch at Joys house. We usually go to my Aunt Char's house, but this year my mom wanted to have it up here. It was nice only having to go to Mountain Green. My Aunt Char lives in Lindon. So when you have two Thanksgivings to go to, it makes for a lot of driving. Then we had our Borgstrom dinner an Mikes parents. All the food was so good, and the company wasn't too shabby either. This year in the month of November we tried to have the kids write one thing they were thankful for each day. They came up with some pretty interesting ones.

We went big on black Friday this year.  We bought a van! That's right, we are mini van people now.  It is a red, 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.  We had to drive to Idaho to get it, but we've decided it was worth it. So far, so good. It hasn't broke down on us yet.

The kids have loved playing in the snow this year. Jaycee asked me to help her make a snowman. By the time I was ready to go outside she already had one made. She was too quick for me. They each made a couple of snowmen. I think we had 7 by the time they were done.

Then we got a good snowstorm.  Mike and the kids were outside for hours shoveling. Well, Mike was shoveling , the kids were mostly playing.

I finally finished all the dolls for my mom. I made 9 total. For some reason I only took pictures of 6 of them. Man, were they a lot of work!
Sometime between last time I posted and this time, Wesley got Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. It was pretty horrible.  He had little blisters all over his hands and feet. He got them in other areas, but they were the worst on his hands and feet.  Lucky for us he only had one in his mouth, and a couple around his mouth. There was pretty much nothing we could do to help him .  When the blisters popped then his hands and feet were cracking and bleeding. It was pretty sad.  Now his fingernails are falling off! I guess in extreme cases that happens. We are lucky Jaycee didn't catch it.  It is highly contagious.  His cousin Luke was not so lucky.  He got it a couple days after Wesley did.  It's strange how different it affected both of them.  Luke had the spots and blisters all over his body.  Not so much on his hands and feet.  Weird disease.
Other then that we have been mostly healthy.

We started our Christmas countdown. The kids are loving it. I am having a hard time following through. Lucky for me Jaycee hasn't tried to read what is on the cards because I have changed a lot of the days. For instance, one day we were supposed to make cookies and take them to the neighbors, we ended up watching a movie instead. I'm sure we will bake some cookies at some point, I just couldn't bring myself to do it that day. Yesterday we went and saw the Ogden lights with Amber's family, and we only lost one child, and it was only for a minute.
 I made all those hats.
Wesley liked it a lot more this year.
The line to see Santa was way to long, so we didn't get to see him.
Early in the month we went and saw the Roy lights and drove around our old neighborhood. The kids really like that. It's funny I think their favorite thing is opening Christmas books to read. Next year I'll have to do more of those...they are easy.
Jaycee has been liking basketball.  She gets better every week.

I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and the baby (Bensen, we think) was measuring two weeks ahead of my due date. Doctor Boheen says that doesn't change my due date. And the earliest she could induce me would be January 19th. That seems so far away. She also said that sometimes big babies decide to come early all on their own. She said that if I go full term we will most likely have a 9 pound baby! My nurse with Jaycee threaten me with a C-section, and she was only 7 pound 3 ounces. So that's a little scary. I really hope he decides to come early. Right after Christmas would be nice. I'm not sure how much bigger I can get.

We moved up the timeline on our house.  We were told the price of cement, and sheetrock would be going up at the first of the year, so we decided to get started.  They should start digging this week, Monday or Tuesday.  We are pretty excited.
Sarah moved in to their house this weekend. It has our kids excited to get over there.

Halloween Parties and Such

I know Halloween is tomorrow, but who knows when I'll get to that. I have time today, so here goes. Be forewarned this is a long post.
I love Halloween.  It gets more fun every year as the kids get older and have more fun with it. This year we were all Mummy's, except Mike who is a Deady.
I love doing our theme family costumes, but I think this might be the last year for them.  The kids are starting to rebel. Since when did they get so opinionated? I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens next year. We had our first Halloween party on October 21.  It was the Bailey Party.
My mom recently had hip replacement surgery (I think it was Sep 25th) so we (Girls) had to help out a little more this year. She still arranged to have the train come, which the kids love! The kids played some games, doughnut on a string, monster bean bag toss, octopus toss, and a piñata.
Jaycee is the most scary mummy! She is so funny, she loves to make crazy faces for the camera. It's not very often anymore that we get a nice sweet picture like this one.
This is more like it.  She is so funny!
I don't even know how she does that with her eyes! She is talented.
Wesley loves to smile for the camera now.  I love his little under bite.
Here are some pictures with all the Bailey cousins.
Here is another perfect example of Jaycee's crazy eyes!
 Mummy and Deady
Notice the little eyes on my belly.  When I put them on Wesley asked if the baby could see now.
Me, my mom, and my sista's, minus Joy who was in Vegas.
 Scary bunch.
 Choo choo.

While the kids were on the train we got some pictures of the adults.

The Doughnut game.

 Pinata fun

We had a lot of fun. We love getting together with family.  We had lasagna, mac and cheese, bread, salad and pumpkin bars and cupcakes. Yum.
Now on to the Borgstrom party. Oct 26th.  The party started off with coloring picture frames from Grandma.
We had a mummy sandwich which was delicious, mummy dogs, spicy goulash chili, chips and pumpkin cupcakes.
 My cute little mummies.
We got some nice group shots.
Most of the Borgstrom cousins. We are missing Miriam and Quentin.
 Once again with Jaycee's eyes.
 And the whole group.

At this party they got a lot of cute little things from Grandma LouLou. They played the doughnut game, pin the nose on the pumpkin and monster bean bag toss.
We had a blast. Being so close to family is truly a blessing.
We also went to our ward party, it was after Jaycee and Wesley's soccer game and right before Jaycee's first basketball game.  So they went as soccer players to that party.
On Monday the Elementary had a skate night at Classic Fun Center.  The kids loved it. Jaycee did pretty good on her skates. Wesley spent most of the time on a scooter, but he did pretty good on his skates also.  Much better then I expected.
Tomorrow Jaycee's school is doing a costume parade.
What a busy holiday. It's a good thing I love it. But I'm ready to be done.
Jaycee is loving soccer! She is getting pretty good too. Wesley pretty much hates it.  I wasn't going to sign him up, but he begged me, so I gave in. Now I have to force him go.
Jaycee just started basketball.  She is liking it.  She is on a team with all boys.  She cried the first game because she was so scared.  She only touched the ball once in the first game(a pass that hit her hand and went out of bounds). In the second game she got to dribble the ball down the court once and she made a pretty good pass.  She loves to practice basketball, shooting and dribbling, not so much passing.
It is so fun watching them play.  I hope they continue to try new things.
Last thing, today I went to the Dr. and had a ultrasound.  It looks like we have a thumb sucker! She was pushing my stomach trying to get him to take his thumb out of his mouth so she could get a picture.  He finally took it out for about 3 seconds, then he found it again. That could be interesting. It was so cute. As cute as a skeleton sucking his thumb can be. :) Everything else looked good.  He was measuring at 29 week and 2 day. So he is about two weeks ahead of my due date! Unfortunately the Dr. says that doesn't change my due date.
