Twilight Fun

Twiligt the movie Pictures, Images and Photos

Now I've never been a big fan of going to movies at midnight the day they come out. For instance I went to one of the Harry Potters and slept through the whole thing. This was back in the day when you had to stand in line to get a good seat!! So that sucked, and everyone was pushy. I hate crowds!!! Twilight was different, for one the only line I had to stand in was to get a drink. We walked right in and sat down. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty sleepy and thought I might fall a sleep. However the movie was actually really good. I was a little worried because it had been talked up for so long, and I really liked the books. But it was really good. I plan on going to see it again only with Mike this time. I think even he would like it. The movie was great, the company was great. I went with all my sisters, sister-in-laws and my mom. But the best part of the night was when I got home, I got ready for bed, then I went and checked on Jaycee. I went in to cover her up and she lifted her little head and said "Hi" then laid right back down, so I covered her up and started to walk out and she goes "Bye, bye". She is so dang cute.

Anyway, I definitely recommend the movie. Sometimes, if you haven't read the books you will miss a little inside joke. Jaime kept turning to me and say "Did I miss something?" Because everyone was laughing and she had no idea why.

One last note our primary program is tomorrow, so pray for us, because that's the only way were going to get through it!!:)

We had a really good dinner tonight, Chicken Breast with Tomatillo Salsa. I wish I had taken a picture because it looked almost as good as it taste. It was really easy to make, from start to finish it only took about 25 minutes. And it Makes 4 serving.

2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup tomatillos
3 tablespoons snipped fresh cilantro
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

1. In a resealable plastic bag combine cornmeal, flour, chili powder, salt, and pepper. add a few chicken pieces. Seal bag; shake to coat.

2. In a large skillet cook chicken in hot oil over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes of until chicken is no longer pink. Turning once.

3. Meanwhile, for salsa, coarsely chop tomatillos. In a small bowl stir together chopped tomatillos, the cilantro, onion, lime juice, and jalapeno pepper. Serve over chicken.

I cooked the chicken while Mike made the salsa. We served it over rice, and it was delicious!! I'm posting this especially for Jaime, because I think she would really like it.

Until next time, enjoy!

Engagement Anniversary

Today is the 3 year mark for the day Me and Mike got engaged! It's kind of funny, he had planned to ask me on Halloween, I ended up having to work on Halloween, so he had to scramble to push up the date. Because of that, he did not ask my Parents permission. He had decorated his room all scary. There was fog and everything. He made me dinner, meatloaf I think, because that is my favorite!! He got my favorite sobe to drink and there we scary cups full of chocolate covered Cinnamon bears, another one of my favorites! While we ate we watched "Haunted Honeymoon". After dinner we did a puzzle, not just any puzzle, it was a picture of us from the previous year at the haunted Heber creeper. Anyway, we get to the last piece and it is nowhere to be found. I was like "Oh great you lost my face!" He said to look for it. So he got down on the ground and found it. By this time he is shaking, and I'm pretty sure I now whats coming. He comes up with the puzzle piece and a poem. A very nice sweet poem about how I complete his puzzle. Then I put the last piece of the puzzle in and he's down on his knee with my ring! The ring I had showed him two years earlier. I can't remember the exact words after that. He was crying I was crying. Anyway we pulled ourselves together, and called his mom down to take a picture, and she was all confused. She was like "What's going on". Mike was down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. I of coarse already have the ring on my finger. It took her a minute to understand what was going on. Then she was crying! and then we were crying again. It was a good time. So I guess Mike was the only one in on the secret. It was a good time. And I'm sure glad he chose me!!!

Bailey Halloween Party

Well, last night was the Bailey Halloween Party, and let me tell you, they went all out this year!!! We had so much fun. First off let me start by saying it wasn't just our halloween party it was two of our close neighbor's partys also. It was fun to see the people we grew up with and there kids all dressed up and being silly. Our parents rent this Halloween train that drives us around the block. All the families take turns. It's pretty fun!! There was a fishing hole and a ring around the bottle game, a cake walk and of coarse there was a frankenstine pinyta!!

Let me just tell you this is my favorite time of year. I love the fall colors, the weather, the FOOD!! I love getting dressed up and being silly. Mike thinks I'm wierd because I dress Jaycee up all month. She has a Halloween outfit for almost everyday of the week. I try to spread them out so she does wear normal outfits every once in a while.:) I even wore the shirt I made for my Halloween costume to work yesterday. I'm looking forward to the rest of the month. We are going to try and go to the Pumkin Patch and the Pumkin Walk before the month is over.

Until next time, Happy Halloween!

Believe it or not, we actually did some fun things this last week. First of all last weekend we went to the Circus. I LOVED the circus. I've never been before, and always wanted to go and it did not disappoint.

The elephants were my favorite.
They are so cute. Jaycee liked it for the most part, she was ready to go home at intermission. We had a lot of fun. We went with Trevor, Katie, Max and Paige. Max was so funny. He LOVED the tigers with their eyes. And Paige was dancing through the whole thing. So we had a lot of fun.

Then last night we went to the Treehouse for a Haunted Forest. Jaycee was our little pirate. It was really cute, they had people dressed up and they told stories like "Alice in Wonderland", "Little Miss Muffett" while the kids tried to find the mean dragon. It was fun Jaycee liked running around looking at the stuff. She wasn't that interested in the stories. But we still had a lot of fun. Jaycee also beat Mike up with the flute they gave her. She made him bleed.
