Florida Day 6-Discovery Cove

Discovery Cove
Ok, I know I have said this several times, but this might have been our favorite day! It started off with a delicious breakfast, then we all got our wet suits and headed to the pool with the fish. It was a little chilly, but all the kids loved it! Vivian was a little scared at first, but she warmed up to it after a little while. Grandpa Max was too sick to come with us, he would have loved it! Grandma Carmae hadn't planned on coming because she didn't think she would be able to do anything. She took my dads pass and I think she had fun!
After we swam with the fish for a while, it was our turn to swim with the dolphins. It was sprinkling a little but we had a great time! The kids loved it.
When we finished with the dolphins we headed over to the warm lazy river. It was pretty amazing, and went through an aviary. There were also a couple of waterfalls that you went under. I actually never made it all the way around the river, I always got pulled away for one reason or another. It also had a marmoset monkeys island.
We went and had lunch, which was also delicious. The kids were so impressed with the food and the all you could eat little snack stands that they want to know if there is some place in Utah we could go to eat all day!
We spent some time in the aviary, Wesley said that was his favorite besides the dolphins and the food. We went back and swam with the fish, did the lazy river and those who wanted to went back to the aviary.  Around 5 we got showered up and headed to the airport. Our flight home was at 8. It was the worst flight! Frontier is the worst!
But the Vacation was the best! We had such a great time, and I am so glad we went!

Florida Day 5-The Temple and Ocala National Forest

On Sunday we took a drive to the Orlando Temple. It was all locked up, thanks to Covid, but we still walked around. The kids chased lizards.
Then we headed to Ocala National Forest to the Silver Glen Springs.
It was pretty amazing. Again we ate lunch in the parking lot before we went down to the water. Me and Mike listened into Rylee's homecoming, she did such a great job! I loved hearing about her mission, and for her reasons for going.
I wasn't planning on getting in the water here, but there were manatees, so I had to! It was so fun! There was a mom and her baby. There is a spring so the water was clear and perfect for snorkeling. Wes went in while me and Mike were listening to Rylee, I think he must have gotten a little too close and it freaked him out, because by the time we got in he refused to get in! We also saw some jumping fish.
There was a lady there snorkeling and she said there were hundreds of manatees out a little farther. We would have needed kayaks. Next time...
When we got our we started on a little walk around to the other side of the spring, but we saw bear poop everywhere! And we heard a noise. So half of us decided it was too risky, and turned back. On our way back we started talking to a guy that worked there, he said he see's bears almost every morning, but they never bother him, so he walked us back to our group. We did not see any bears, thank goodness. My dad started feeling sick this day.
The kids were so excited to get back to the house and swim, it was really there first chance to really enjoy the pool.
