Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!  This year Easter looked a little different. We just got back from Spring Break today, so we didn't have any hunts, a lot of the Borgstrom side are gone. They went to Ireland.  We did do an egg battle, and last minute decided to have breakfast for dinner at Baileys.
I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ, and to have the gospel in my life! I know he died for me, so that I can repent and return to live him again. I am thankful for this time to reflect on all that he has done for us.

Spring Break Day 3

Another day, another hike...or two.😅
We started the day off hiking to the Hickman bridge. This was a fun 2 mile round trip hike.
After this hike we had our customary sandwiches out of the back of our car, then we drove through Capital Reef National Park, to Panoramic Point and some of us did another hike called Sulfur Creek Trail.
The little kids did not want to hike anymore. So a car went back to the house. Two cars were needed for this hike. We started just off the side of the road, I am not even sure how Amber finds these hikes. Anyway we park on the side of the road and just start walking. It is supposed to be a hike in the river. We hiked for about a mile and a half when we finally made it to the river. We knew the hike was supposed to come out at a visitors center. We only had about an hour and a half left of daylight. So we were talking about going back. Most wanted to keep going, we knew we didn't have time to hike all they way there and back, so we split up. Amber and Jaime and a handful of kids continued on the hike. Me, my dad, Tyson and Mae went back to get the cars and drive to the visitors center.
By the time we got to the visitors center and waited for awhile me and my dad decided to go look for the rest of the group. We were running out of daylight. I kept imagining Bensen making people carry him, or someone rolled an ankle.  That is just what my brain does. We weren't even sure if this is where the hike ended.
We hiked for awhile, then we got to a spot where my dad couldn't keep going. It is in the last picture, I climbed up that rock and kept going for about a quarter mile before I ran into the rest of the group! I was relieved, they were just happily strolling along. No injury's or anything. Amber and Jaime did a good job moving everyone along, especially Bensen.😅
Grandpa was happy to see us, he was probably thinking the worst also.

Spring Break Day 2

We went for a very pretty scenic drive over to the Lower Calf Creek Falls hike in Grand Staircase Escalante.
The hike was great. It wasn't too strenuous, it was about 6 miles, a lot of it was in the sand. My mom and dad even made it...it was close, but they made it. I love hiking when there is something at the end. The waterfall was beautiful. The kids even decided to take a swim in the water. It was way too cold for that! We had a little map that pointed out interesting things along the hike. We saw pictographs, and granaries where the Fremont people stored food. Penny even loved it.
That night we were all beat, but not too tired for smores and darts.
