Crafty

I'm not sure why Wesley has been so difficult to feed lately. He either doesn't like the food or his teeth are bothering him. This is a video I took last night trying to get him to eat dinner. I tried to sneak a bite of veggies in between his peach bites. It didn't go over very well.

I have made Jaycee a couple of birthday presents. I don't know what got into me...a crafty bug I guess. I made her an apron and I had fabric left over so I also made her pajama pants and a pillow case. Then the other day I saw a cute abc felt book over at itsgoodfortheheart.blogspot.com, and while I was looking at that I saw a cute quiet book. So I am now making both of those. Fun? It turns out they are harder then they look. Here is a sneak peek.

I also made a birthday cake for my nieces Abbie and Ellie. Good practice for Jaycee's cake. I'm actually going to take a cake decorating class this summer. I figure it will come in handy. I get to make at least two cakes a year. :)

Long time no Post!

Happy Easter! Just kidding. I was going to do a wonderful Easter post, I've just been very, very unmotivated! Sad. We had a really good Easter, spent time with our families. That's always nice. I have so many pictures of Easter I'm going to post a lot.

Home Sweet Home

We finally have a place to call home! We moved in March 11th and we love it. The kids love it almost as much as we do! One of Jaycee's favorite places to play is the little hall closet.
It's her bed.:)
There are still a lot of boxes packed up, and they will probably stay that way for a while. We don't have furniture yet but we just bought couches today.
It will feel a little more homey when we can pick them up...it's always nice to have somewhere to sit. :) I found the bedding and decorations for the kids bedrooms I want. I'm going to do Wesley's room in Monkeys and Jaycee's room in Owls.
We would like to get a kitchen table and we are hoping to get a bedroom set. All we have in our room is our little FULL size bed, nothing else. We would like to upgrade to a Queen! Maybe get a couple night stands. If only everything were free! We would be set.
We are not looking forward to putting in the yard, it's a little overwhelming. We haven't met any of our neighbors and we haven't gone to our new ward, I hoping we feel comfortable here. I'm so nervous to meet new people. I'm not very good at it!
In the midst of all are craziness I turned 28. That was a little wierd for me. I think I might actually remember my age this year. I had a really great birthday, the best I've had in a long time.
During the day when it's warm we have been going for walks.
Jaycee loves to see all the animals, we see horses, goats, pigs, cows, dogs, ducks, chickens, a turkey and an occational cat. We just found the chicken, ducks and the biggest turkey I've ever seen today. They were near a canal and it was lined with eggs. That was pretty cool. Today on our walk Jaycee pointed out a dog and said "Mae Mae (her cousin)has a dog and they have a dog." I said "But we don't have a dog." And she said "No, we have Wesley." So, that's how she feels about him!:) They are both so good when we walk I usually stop at the cute little park down the street. They, mostly Jaycee, love it!

I'll post more pictures as we get settled.

Sick and Tired!

We'll I was going to post some more house pictures but I'm feeling pretty lazy and I don't want to have to find the camera and the cord...so no pictures. It's almost done. We should get carpet this week, then I think the only thing left is door knobs. We close on the 10th and we are pretty excited. Now if only we had furniture to put in the house. I guess house first other stuff later except for a fridge of coarse we still need to get one of those!
Back to why I named this blog post Sick and Tired. Wesley has been sick for as long as I can remember, he might have got in two weeks of not being sick. We have been going to the Dr. about every two weeks! Not only do I have to pay 30 bucks every time I go...they have not once made him better.
Back in December right before Christmas we took him in they said he had croup and they gave him a steroid shot. A couple weeks later, still not better we took him back in. They tried a breathing treatment on him. He still sounded exactly the same, so it was decided that didn't do much for him. Then we headed over to the lab and they took a snot sample. Good new was he didn't have RSV, but he did have the Rhino virus...which I believe is a cold of some sorts. So they sent us home with a snot sucker machine (was this supposed to make him better?) It didn't really help much since his nose was more plugged then runny.
One week later I took him back in. Let me just remind you this whole time, since before Thanksgiving, he has been coughing, stuffy/runny nose just not breathing well at all. However, he has remained cheerful and lucky for us, for the most part hes been pretty happy and well natured. He takes after Mike. I am not a good sick person. Anyway, so I take him back in, this was actually a well check visit. So this time they decide to do a chest x-ray...which was a horrible experience for both of us. Mostly Wesley, I just felt so helpless. They make him sit on what looks like a cute little bike seat, then they make ME put his little arms up by his ears, while they strap hard plastic around him. Ugh...it really was awful! Luckily it didn't take too long and we were done. So now we go back to Dr. she tells me his lungs are cloudy. I'm thinking WHAT DOES THAT MEAN! She tells me she wants to experiment with a small dose of steroid that you put in a nebulizer TWICE a day. Experiment...really. I just want him to be better, so i agree. After that he still gets to have his immunization shots, lucky boy. So off we go to Walmart to fill his prescription. One hour later we're finally home but Wesley wasn't done yet, we still had to administer the nebulizer! Which of coarse he hated...who wouldn't. Cried the whole 5 minutes. That's when I was thinking TWICE a day for three weeks! After all that he sounded a million times WORSE!! I ended up holding him half the night, not because he wouldn't sleep, but because he sounded so bad.
We continued with the Neb. for the rest of the week. He started to get ornery and sad, he would scream at us...really weird since he has always been so happy. So yesterday, I called a nurse at WeeCare to see if this was normal? She said we needed to get him in that day, not to wait. The Dr. we usually go to was booked so we had to go to someone else which for me is stressful. I'm starting to get a sore throat, and why wont Jaycee listen to me??? It was one of those days. I was about in tears when I called Mike and asked if he would go with me. He wasn't sure if he would be able to make it. So I'm driving to the Dr. trying to hold back tears. Just hoping and praying nothing is seriously wrong with him. He's been sick for so long! When I got there, Mike was waiting in the parking lot for me. Sigh...what a relief! We got checked in and waited...and waited, and waited. Everyone was going in, and then coming out, and we were still waiting there. Blah. Mike went back and asked if they had forgotten about us. It seems they had. 10 minutes later we got finally got to go sit in a room, where I finally broke down and started crying, talk about embarrassing. This new Dr. was very nice, stayed and talked to us for a good 30 to 40 minutes. He assured me Wesley didn't have cancer or any other serious illness. He let me know that Wesley now has ear infectionS. That is infections with an S because both ears are sick :( At least that explains why he has been so sad. The new Dr. wrote me down some good instruction on his new meds. He seems to think he has a sinus infection. So hopefully with this new medicine he will feel so much better.
So if you happen to see me and I look frazzled, don't judge me!:)

House Update

Our house now has walls!!! Yay! It's going up so fast, and now were on to the fun stuff. There going to be doing tile and paint and cabinets next. All the stuff we picked out. I hope it all looks good together.
This is our front entryway.
That pipe is where the kitchen sink will be in a bar.
This is Jaycee getting in the shower. :)
And one of my favorite parts of the whole house...that I would not do without, the fireplace. The windows are nice too.
So there you have it. After they are done mudding, we get our tile, which is another one of my favorites! I can hardly wait. We drive out there almost everyday to see the progress, and we are always amazed at how much they can get done in a day. Exciting!
