Spring Break Day 3, Sedona

The drive to Sedona was beautiful. We started our Vortex tour with the Chapel of the Cross, then Airport Mesa, Bell Rock, and Cathedral Rock.
It was pretty windy and cold all day, so most of us weren't feeling the vortex's. Bensen did get a little teary eyed at the Chapel of the Cross. Viv complained about her arm hurting, and Grandpa Max's hearing aids were buzzing at Airport Mesa. My lungs were burning at Cathedral Rock...not because of the vortex, but the straight up hike to get there!
On our way back to the house we stopped in Flagstaff at Big Foot Barbeque. It was pretty good.

Spring Break day 2, Lake Powell and Lees Ferry

We got up and headed to Lake Powell! We stopped first at the visitors center. The kids picked up their Jr Ranger books to work on. Mike got to see the Rainbow Bridge...in a picture. Out of all the years we have been to Lake Powell Mike has yet to see the Rainbow Bridge. This might be as close as he ever gets! Then we headed over to Lone Rock beach. We were able to drive right down to the water. That was a little scary we didn't get stuck in the sand, but several others did while we were there. We spent a good portion of the day here paddle boarding and playing in the sand.  Then we took a drive down to Lee's Ferry and the Navajo Bridge.

Spring Break, the Drive to Page Arizona

We left pretty early to make it to the Manti Temple open house. I have always loved the Manti Temple. It was fun to show the kids where we were married. We even got to show them the exact sealing room! My parents, and their parents were also sealed in this temple.
Then we headed toward Page Arizona, on our way we stopped at the Belly of the Dragon. This was a fun stop. Then stopped at the Moqui Sand Caves, this hike was a little bit harder, and a little more sketchy to get to. We would recommend both hikes, they were fun.
Mike has always been about enjoying the journey. He likes to make long car rides interesting. He succeeded this trip, all of our stops were great!

March

March means lacrosse season! Wes played in a tournament up in Logan in a blizzard! Jaycee made the Northridge team. For tryouts this year the coach made the girls do the impossible mile. Me and Mike called it the miserable mile. They had to 1 lap  around the track of lunges, 1 lap of burpees, 1 lap of bear crawls, the last lap was running. That was it, if you could finish that you made the team.  Jaycee has played well. We told her we would buy her a passport if she scored 15 goals this season, so she is working on it.
We went to the Jazz game for Jr Jazz night. Everyone wore their jerseys, and made signs. The kids always love going to games.
Bensen had his 4th grade rendezvous, he kept the tradition alive and sold soap.
Last, but not least, Happy Easter!
