Time sure flys when your having fun! Me and Mike have been married for 10 years! How did that happen? It seems like just yesterday we were at the Manti Temple getting married.
Mike said he wanted to take care of things this year. He had some surprises up his sleeve. We headed out on January 3rd after church. Grandma Lulu watched the kids for us.
We stayed at a fun little bed and breakfast in Pleasant Grove. Mike had packed a picnic dinner.
The next morning we went to Kneaders for breakfast. I love Kneaders, but I'm never early enough for their french toast, so that was nice it was pretty delicious.
Then we went and saw a movie, it was called Concussion. After seeing it we were pretty shocked that people still play football...it's crazy! I really hope my kids don't want to play. It was educational.
Then we headed to Manti.
Mike rented us the the cutest little cottage, right across the street from the temple.
He had got me a little something for every year we were married, each year had pictures and part of a poem he had written. It even made me cry. He is the best gift giver, because he is so thoughtful. Man I am lucky.
I got him a flashlight taser, Book of Mormon study guide and a 100 reasons why I love him.
The cottage was pretty small, it was just these two rooms and the bedroom was upstairs. I think the kids would love it, if we came down for the Manti pageant.
We could see the temple from every room except the bathroom.
We were going to see another movie, but I found a puzzle and talked Mike into putting it together with me. I really like puzzles.
We took a puzzle break and went to dinner at Dirks Farmhouse. There menu was great, everything sounded delicious. I ended up getting the Navajo taco, and Mike got the KC bacon and blue burger. Both were great. We would definitely eat there again.
When we got back we finished the puzzle, then we watched Once I Was A Beehive. It was one of the gifts he had given me. It was pretty funny.
The next morning, our actual anniversary we went to the temple. We even got to be the witness couple. We were trying to decide if we had ever done a session there before. I was thinking that I had, but nothing really looked familiar so I'm not sure if I really have.
It was beautiful.
After the session we went and looked at the room we were sealed in. It's sealing room number 8 and they call it the emerald room. I was thinking it was number 1. Then we had someone take us and show us the sealing rooms on the lower level and the amazing spiral staircases. It was a really nice visit to the temple.
After we took some pictures.
I am so blessed to have married Mike, every good thing I have in my life is because of him. He is really amazing. And I sure love him.
After pictures we headed toward home. I asked if we could stop in Wales at my grandparents graves, Mike was all for it.
I think we've settled on a name for our baby girl. We are thinking
Vivian Coral.
Unless either of us strongly feel it should be something else, that is what we are going with.
We stopped at the Gateway and saw another movie.
When we got home we picked up the kids and went out to "Chuck-A-Grandma". It was nice to get away, but it's always nice to come home. I sure missed my kids.
Thanks for making the last 10 years so great! I love you Mike!
