Christmas, New Years and Anniversary
Wow, what a jammed pack holiday season! I don't even know where to start. We spent Christmas Eve at Mike's parent house. We do this every year. We eat way too much food play games and open presents.
It's so much fun.
That night we really had to talk to Jaycee about Santa Claws coming to our house. We assured her he wasn't going to stay very long and that she definitely would not see him. So we set him and his reindeer out a little treat, then it was off to bed. Christmas morning was fun. We left the video camera at Mike's parent so at 8:00 am Mike went all the way back to South Weber to grab it, and still made it back before either of the kids woke up. He actually woke them up when he came in the house. Who knows how long they would have slept! So we got the camera set up, went and got the kids then started opening presents like crazy. When we were all finished opening presents Mike went to turn off the video camera and it had died! We also didn't take any pictures with our other camera :( We need a photographer for special occasions. I always forget. Maybe if I had a better camera I would remember to take pictures.:)
I had to make 5 dozen eggs for my family breakfast party. Which I tried to cook all at the same time...bad idea. Then as we were headed to my sisters for breakfast Jaycee said "Mom, it smells like poop." I had to explain to her that it was just the eggs. We had a good time with my family. Then we came home and played with all our new toys. Later, Mike's parents came over and they brought us a surprise! Mike's brother Drew and his family had come in from Washington. We weren't expecting them this year, so that was fun.
We went sledding,

to the Tree House Museum and over to Mike's parents a lot, to play games and just hang out.
New years eve was almost the same as Christmas Eve. A lot of food, games and good company. Jaycee and Wesley stayed up with us this year. And again I didn't take any pictures...boo. On New Years day we went and played games with Trevor and Katie.
It was sad when Mike had to go back to work on Monday. We loved having Mike home, not working.
Yesterday, the 5th was me and Mikes anniversary.
After he got off work we went to a movie, "The Tourist", it wasn't that great. Then Iggies for dinner. Then home to play with the kids. :) He gave me 2 beautiful diamond bracelets! And wrote me a wonderful poem. He hasn't written me a poem in a long time. Good evening altogether.
Now here's to hoping things slow down for a little while.

Hats, House and Holidays
It's been awhile since I last posted. Christmas time is so crazy and I've been making hats like a mad woman! I was finally able to get a picture of Wesley with his owl on...
he's so cute!
And I've got a few more to show: A monkey,
a Kitty in hot pink
and a red hat with a flower.
I'm working on a Hello Kitty for Jaycee, hopefully she likes it. She always tells me she wants an owl. I guess if she doesn't like it I can always make her a owl.
We got our blank wall finished...
actually we did it back in October but I just got around to taking pictures of it and our house all festive.
We are almost ready for Christmas, me and Mike were wrapping everything last week and Jaycee had a mountain of presents and Wesley only had 4. In all reality, I think he will have more fun with the paper and boxes. So I don't feel that bad. I don't know if it is girls are more fun to buy for or that I know what she likes. She's just easier.
I sometimes wonder if I should continue with the blog then I find my kids like this and it's all worth it.

Well, until next time Merry Christmas!

Holy Hats Batman!
This year for winter birthday gifts and Christmas gifts I decided I was going to make hats. I found a really cute pattern for animal hats and I fell in love! So I've been making a lot of hats. So far all the recipients of the hats love them which is awesome because I love them too. :) We have an Owl
The owl is my favorite this picture doesn't do it justice.
The Cat
Hello Kitty
The Cow
The Monkey
I asked my little nephew McKay(Spencer & Heather's little boy)who will be turning 3, what he wanted. Like a dog or a cow. He rubbed his little chin and said "Hum, let me think...a tiger!" I said are you sure you don't want a dog or something? No luck, he wasn't budging on the tiger. So I thought I'd give it a shot. I looked online and found some cute hats and was able to make my own and I love it. It turned out pretty good for me guessing. I'm not that great without a pattern. Here it is, the Tiger.
